Chapter 1

"Hey sis!Wake up!You don't want to be late to school do you? "I rub my eyes and I see a blurred out figure in front of me.My sister was hovering above me already dressed and had already made her bed."School only starts at 8:00 so leave me alone until then."Just to make sure I was correct I looked at the clock on my dresser and it said 7:50!!!!!I jumped up and grabbed some random clothes out of my closet. I wasn't really a fashionista so I didn't really care if my clothes matched or not.I went to the washroom and took a quick shower.By the time I got downstairs to eat breakfast it was 7:59.My sister had already left.Since breakfast was the most important meal of the day I couldn't miss it so I grabbed a banana and told my mom to drop me off at school because my sister had left with my dad.When we got on the car and started driving on the main road there was a huge traffic hold up.Some geese were crossing the road.As son as the geese left all the cars started going at normal speed again.When I reached school I could see a few of the kids just seeping inside.I guessed the bell had already rang.I ran to one of the closet doors and tried to yank the door open but it wouldn't budge.I banged on the door and finally a teacher saw me and let me in.Now I had to go to the office which would take me even more time to get to class and I would be more late.When I reached the office to get a late slip I saw my sister sitting there with a girl in my class Rebecca.She was there with our teacher.The principle Mrs.Lizzie called them in.I wondered why my teacher was in the office and not in class.I took the late slip to class and saw a supply teacher there called Mr.Guave.I hung up my bag in my locker and rushed in to class."And don't to that again!".Our supply teacher Mr.Guave ha just threw some linking cubes at a boy in my class called Jeremy.I handed him the late slip and he pointed to the garbage can which I was guessing he wanted me to throw it out."Wow" I thought ,"He's even bad at recycling".I threw it away and went to sit at my desk.Everybody was just staring art me.Had I said my thoughts out loud?"What are you guys staring at?"My friend Lilly pointed behind me.When I turned around saw A cockroach about the size of my thumb.It was on top of the bookshelf.It jumped of and hopped on top of the supply teachers head.I felt so sorry for him but when I saw a grin on his face I was confused.Did he like cockroaches?All of a sudden he let out a girl like scream."Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!".With that everybody started screaming.All of a sudden the phone rang.Impicked it up."Student speaking",I said."Hi can Hillary please come down to the office? ""Yes"I replied.I told Mr.Guave and went down to the office.When I reached the office they sent me to the principles office.My sister Laura was there with Rebecca and my parents and her parents were there with my teacher.The principle told me too sit down.She cleared her throaght and everyone imediately stopped talking."Hillary, Laura and Rebecca have shown excellent work in class.So their teacher Mrs.Vexius has told. Recently, Laura has became head of the students council Hillary has became the President of the basketball club and Rebecca has taken leadership and won the beauty pagent.All of these things show maturity since these things are only for Grade 7&8 and you are only in Grade 6.Since you have taken these leadership roles we have thought that maybe you could skip a grade but there is a catch.",she told us.I looked at Rebecca and she had an eager look on her face that told 'I will do anything' and so was Laura's ."There is a quest that you have to go on.It starts at the schools basement.Are you willing to take the Quest?".Everyone was quiet.They didn't know what to say."Will there be any dangers in the quest?",Rebecca asked absent minded."Of course there won't be any.Oh!I almost forgot.Each of you can take one person with you.So do you except it?".
