In 1982 Kevin Flynn was sent to the ENCOM server against his will by the MCP after he successfully found proof that the games he created were stolen by Dwilliger with Flynn regaining his career in ENCOM while Tron derezzed both the MCP, and Commander Sark. By 1983 to 1989 Kevin Flynn entered what is known as the Grid creating copies of Tron & Clu to create the perfect system along with encountering the ISO, a race that existed before his arrival that he planned to present as a gift to the world. However Clu betrayed Flynn, and took over the Grid, reprogrammed Tron into Rinzler, and purged the ISOs with only one ISO name Quorra as the last of her kind while Flynn went into hiding outside the Grid's city. It wasn't till 2010 his son Sam Flynn entered the Grid, and reunited with his father. At the end Kevin Flynn sacrificed himself by merging with Clu while Sam & Quorra escaped to the real world.

After the passing of Kevin Flynn. Alan Bradley, a good friend of Kevin Flynn, and the current CEO of ENCOM, and the game creators began a secret project using the blueprints of Kevin Flynn's Grid. By 2015 ENCOM announced a mmorpg set within the grid known as the Grid of Tron which would use the grid in honor of Kevin Flynn. After years of delays, and beta testing the servers finally went online, and the Grid of Tron was officially launched on April 17, 2021. The Grid of Tron allows users to create their own programs to interact, buy items, create guilds, play in the game grid, and fight the programs of the MCP, and CLU.

The Grid of Tron became a huge success with six trillion users logging in, and playing the world.

However, what happens in October 2030 changes everything.
