Chapter 2 - Battle!

Once they arrive, they notice a commotion of people around the Guild. Amber attempts to see what's going on, but her height doesn't spare for it, even if she stands on her tiptoes. Eula giggles at this and hoists her up onto her back, before asking, "What's going on, Am?" she asks. "I see blonde hair... and- wait, is that Paimon?!" exclaims Amber. At the sound of her name, the fairy responds. "Amber! Eula!" yells Paimon.

The crowd spreads apart as Paimon and the other person walk through.

"It's Lumine! When did you return?" exclaims Amber, as she lightly jumps off Eula's back and runs up to the traveler. "Hey there, Amber. Just today. How have you been?" asks Lumine. "I've been great! So has Eula," giggles Amber. "Were you both trying to get an commission from the Adventurer's Guild?" questions Lumine. "Yes! I was at Liyue for an expedition that Grandmaster Jean set me on, but I missed exploring and battling with Eula!" chuckles Amber, oblivious to her statements. A sharp intake of breath is heard from Eula as she quickly turns her head as pink dusts her cheek at the statement.

Lumine giggles as she asks for them to catch up on things the next day with lunch, to which Amber readily agrees. The duo wave goodbye as Amber and Eula head over to Katheryne. "Ad astra abyssoque! Welcome to the Adventurer's Guild. A pleasure to see you again, Amber and Eula. Would you like to start a commission?" she asks in a cool voice. "Yes please!" replies Amber. "Okay, scanning... I have found a commission to hunt down a Ruin Guard at the Thousand Winds Temple. Do you accept this commission?" asks Katheryne. "That seems a bit easy. Amber, you've been in Liyue for a while, I expect you had to defeat many new monsters. Do you wish to battle a couple Abyss Mages?" asks Eula, looking at the outrider. "Hmm, that is true. Alright, we don't accept this commission!" replies Amber.

"Okay. Scanning yet again... I have found a commission to hunt down two Cryo Abyss Mages at Stormbearer Point. Do you accept this commission?" repeats Katheryne. "Yes!" reply Eula and Amber in unison. "You have accepted the commission. It is expected to be completed within three days. Do you wish to request for extended time?" asks Katheryne. "Nope, we'll be fine!" exclaims the outrider. "Thank you for accepting this commission. Your time starts now. Good luck," says Katheryne, handing them a mini-map before shutting her eyes. "Come on Eula, let's do this!" exclaims Amber, as the two run over to the staircase and quickly race up and arrive just in front of the Teleport Waypoint.

Amber whispers, "Stormbearer Point," and the two lightly brush the surface of the the Waypoint, as it begins to glow and their eyes are forced shut by the blinding white light that comes next. When they next open their eyes, they look around to notice that they are in fact at Stormbearer Point. They look at the mini-map in Amber's hands and walk towards the right, until they arrive at the point indicated on the map.

"It says they should be here... I wonder where they are?" mutters Amber, before the distant, ominous cackle of Abyss Mages is heard and they teleport right behind Amber and Eula. Instinctively, the two respond and run back, keeping a distance. "Amber! Go, you're the only one who can melt down their shields!" yells Eula, as Amber nods her head and charges up an arrow with Pyro, as flames accumulate on the arrowhead and a second arrow forms, made entirely of Pyro. She shoots, perfectly striking both Abyss Mages, as they watch its shield start to dwindle in strength.

She throws two Baron Bunnies into the air and they dance for a couple seconds, as Amber charges up her next shot. In unison, they explode at the same time she launches two fiery arrows, demolishing their shields as the Abyss Mages shriek out in pain. Both knights lunge forward, ready to destroy their enemies.

Eula starts to quickly attack her enemies, grace and elegance in every strike as she effortlessly weaves her way in and out of the Mages' range. She lightly jumps, spinning as she hits the Mages' with Icetide Vortex, as two claymores made of Cryo appear from thin air and attack the enemies. "Amber, let's do it!" shouts Eula, as she infuses her claymore with Cryo and it starts to glow. Immediately, it grows to twice its original size as it becomes a claymore made entirely of Cryo and she slams the Mages' with Glacial Illumination as sparkles release with the burst.

Amber lets go of Fiery Rain, as a flaming shower of arrows hit the Mages', as they shriek one last time before disintegrating into thin air.

"Woohoo!" exclaims Amber, running over to Eula as they share a high - five and a warm hug. "I knew we could do it!" she giggles, drinking in the scent of Eula as she does so. "And in record time too. Being in Liyue and facing all their enemies has truly improved your battle capabilities, Amber. I'm proud of you," replies Eula, softly smiling at the outrider, which causes her to flush and turn quickly, as she hugs her knees. Eula could swear that headband of hers were real bunny ears, it drooped when Amber was sad, and bounced when she was happy.

"Come on now, Miss Outrider," chuckles Eula, as they walk back to the Teleport Waypoint and say the name of their hometown, as they shut their eyes together, before reappearing in Mondstadt. They then hurry over to Katheryne, who claps her hands in delight. "You have completed this commission in record time. As such, the commissioner has paid you extra," she says, smiling as she hands the two large bags of Mora. "Oof! Now this is a good haul!" exclaims Amber, her eyes wide open at the huge amount of Mora.

"This was a very enjoyable experience. I do love adventuring with you, Amber," says Eula, as she takes Amber's hand, bows and gently kisses it in a dignified manner.

This, however, was a little too much for the outrider as she almost faints, her face completely crimson, wobbling on her heels.
