Helping people was always Y/N's goal.
but once she passed the age of 10, the hopes of getting a quirk started to fade away. nonetheless Y/N is not one to give up so easily.
being the most stubborn young woman anyone has ever seen, she made sure to be the best at anything she did. Working herself to the bone to be the top of all her classes and taking up a few martial arts, she became the most impressive candidate for the general studies at UA, the prestigious school for heros.
Although she didn't make it to the hero course due to her quirklessness, she was still thankful she had made it in but also that her best friend of all time was right there with her in class.
Hitoshi Shinso quirk: brainwash! Shinso's Quirk allows him to take control of anyone who responds to him!
Shinso has always been a part of Y/N's childhood memories. their moms being close friends and neighbors, they were almost raised as family. Y/N also always trusted Shinso to use his quirk responsibly so she always made sure to talk to him in school when everyone else would avoid him.
years later and they are still close as ever.
Monday morning and Y/N was first to arrive at class. she sat down and started looking over her notes. 10 minutes later, Shinso was the second to arrive at class.
"Well, well.. look who woke up late." Y/N said in a teasing voice as she closed her notebook.
"I told you to wait on me, but noo little miss perfect needs to be 30 minutes ahead of everybody else." Shinso argued as he made his way across the room and next to her.
"I am perfect, just try to keep up the pace if you don't want to be left behind~"
Shinso rolled his eyes as he sat on top of the desk in front of her and leaned in towards her.
"Whatever you say, Miss Narcissist.. Anyway, the sports festival is coming soon. Are you ready for it?" he leaned back into a normal sitting position.
"Oh, I'm not participating."
"What? Why?" Shinso seemed a bit confused. The hero festival was an event all the hero enthusiasts looked forward to watching. so seeing a UA student not being hyped to participate was rather surprising.
"Well I don't have a quirk if you can remember correctly. I'm not going up against the kids in the hero course with those powerful quirks thank you. This will not be the day I die, no the fuck not." Y/N ended her statement with a sassy snap.
"Hmm makes sense.. But make sure you watch me win though."
"Oh really? You seem really confident in yourself, for someone who can't keep up with a quirkless narcissist huh?" Y/N propped her head on her hand and watched Shinso.
"Wow, so much support from you, bestie."
"I never said I didn't believe in you."
"You kinda did though. Alright let's make a deal then." Shinso paused for a bit, considering what to say next. "Let's say.. if I win the sports festival, you buy me dinner." He pointed to Y/N waiting for her reaction.
"Alright, but what if you don't win?"
"Well then I guess I gotta take you out for dinner."
They fist bumped in agreement as the bell rang and students started to fill the classroom.
Soon enough the teacher arrived and the class started.
About halfway through the class, a large explosion sound could be heard from outside the class window. Some students looked concerned and others just looked annoyed.
