No matter what was waiting for them beyond this door, they were now ready to witness it. The door creaked noisily as it opened. Faint rays of sunlight entered through the wide-open window. The pages of the manuscript she spent the whole night revising scattered around in the wind. Letters scattered in a blinding fashion. The story she didn't get to complete, was right there.
The sentences she really wanted to write sometime, even if it was not now. While thinking about those sentences, Han Su-Yeong grinned like an idiot.

I smiled at my companions from the hospital bed.
"I really scared you guys there, didn't I?"
I hurriedly checked their faces. Shin Yoosung and Lee Gilyoung looked like they were going to pass out while Lee Jihye's pale face looked like she'd seen a ghost. Biyoo had gotten to the size of at least a bar table. I wondered if she'd have the authority of at least Dokbaeki King by now. Jung Heewon, Yi Hyunsung, Yoo Sangah, Yi Seolhwa, Jang Hayoung... They were all here.
I gazed at Han Sooyong's face, then that bastard Yoo Joonghyuk's. They had done so much for me. A moment ago, the former's lips had been in a wide grin but it had been replaced by a gape. Only the latter's face was still frozen in the tiniest curves of the lips.
Once again, I confirmed it. They were all here. Looking at their faces, I smiled faintly.
The atmosphere was dazedly warm.
I reached out a hand to stroke Shin Yoosung's cheek...
What was this?
I couldn't reach. Ah, yes. I was still in the form of a child.
A small laughing sound choked out from someone. My face immediately became sullen. As if to comfort me, Shin Yoosung hurriedly said, "It's alright, you'll grow back soon Adjhussi."
I smiled again, a little awkwardly this time. I was a bit embarrassed at how fast I had ruined the atmosphere.
The faces that had been gaping a moment ago immediately switched. Their expressions, though fond, looked older. I realised that they had consumed a lot of mental as well as physical effort to get me back-
"Stop looking worried. A few years is nothing for us." Yoo Joonghyuk glared at me. Something so familiar in that expression made my heart ache.
His calm declaration was followed by many others.
"We're fine, Dok-ssi!"
"Yeah, it was easy, Hyung!"
"Anything for Adjhussi."
"Just don't make me do it again."
Their determined tones made me think that perhaps it would be okay after all.
Perhaps this was the ending I had always hoped for when reading Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse- the cliche "happily ever after".
A system message sounded in the distance. I frowned. Hadn't the Starstream already been destroyed?
The message echoed in my ears.
