Thea's pov

It's 7:30 am and as I'm getting out of the car, looking at the obnoxiously large doors leading into my private school, all I can think is, who the hell thought school was a good idea? It's the first day of senior year and I already want to leave this prison of blonde Barbie's and hormonal teens. All they think about is parties, boys, and status. It's awful.

It's my first time back since the accident last year and I've never been more anxious than I am right now. I've been dealing with it a lot lately but despite that, my plan is to pretend like everything's okay. Everything's fine. I'm fine.

Taking a deep breathe, I pulled my water bottle from my bag and sipped while I walked towards the double doors entering McAdam's prep.

Aaron's pov

As we walked across the school yard, Marcus pointed to the green-eyed blonde passing us. "What about that one?" He whispered.
"Nah, she's not my type" I said, walking backward towards the double doors.
"Is anyone even your type man? Your expectations are way too high," He chuckled and began walking the other direction.

I was laughing at his remark when I suddenly felt something spill onto my back and quickly turned around to reprimand the idiot that walked into me, only to find the front of her pale top covered with water.
"Could this day get any worse?" She looked up and begged, who I'm assuming is the invisible god above her.

The ends of her newly soaked dark hair were being dried with a napkin she pulled from her bag. She had on a white, cropped long sleeve and a pair of ripped black jeans, suddenly I was thankful for our school's refusal for dress codes. I couldn't, for the life of me, remember what I was going to say.

She looked up at me with wide eyes and quietly said "Are you waiting for an apology?"
Her voice was soft but her words were laced with fake bravado, as if she was pretending to be angrier than she actually was.
I was finally able to get a few words out, "No, s-sorry It was my fault I should've been looking where I was going."
Her features changed to something more sincere and gave an apologetic smile, I'm not sure why because to be completely honest it really was my fault.

"Why don't we go to the bathroom and I can help you clean up?" I said and It was like she snapped back to reality, immediately closing herself off again, "no that's ok I'm a big girl I think I can handle a little water." Still, her words were sharp but didn't hold any weight as her shaky voice gave her away.

After wrapping herself in the jacket she held in her hand to cover her shirt better, she quickly walked in the school, heading straight for the bathrooms. I followed of course because for some reason this girl seemed unlike any I've meet before and I didn't even know her name...yet.

Thea's pov

I threw the stall door open and locked it behind me, looking up I whispered "what the hell, dude? I thought we were cool." Because come on, of all days to have water drench my clothes, god let me wear a white shirt. Of course. I started to panic partially due to the fact that I had no change of clothes but also because I feel horrible about how rude I was to that guy and he was only trying to help.

Taking a frustrated breath, I pulled out my phone and texted Kate hoping she would have a spare top, considering she was one of those infamous blonde Barbie's I'm so fond of at this school. She's also my best friend's sister so she's an exception to my never ending hatred of rich prep school girls.
