It's been about two weeks now. Kris has been busy with her boyfriend, Jim has been busy with his girlfriend, and Bianca, Maya, I have just been chilling.

Maya has become really close to the both of us. We were actually planning on sleeping over at Bianca's house this weekend. I was so happy because I needed to get out of the house.

Approaching my locker, I racked my brain to remember my combination. I barely used my locker. I cursed to myself for not remembering.

"What's up Ash?"

I could already tell it was Jim. "Hi there stranger." I said

He chuckled. "Guess what."

"What?"

"My girlfriend is spending the night with me this weekend. " He happily said

"Y'all parents allow that?" I asked genuinely curious.

"I'm gonna be home alone this weekend and her parents think she's going to a friend's house."

"Oh ok. Well that's good for you guys." I said chuckling.

"What's funny?"

"Nothing " I replied "I'm going to class now," I told him as I walked away.

When I stepped inside of my first class of the day, I immediately spotted Kris.
We caught up on everything and she told me how she was supposed to be having dinner at Sam's house tonight with his family. She invited me over to her house to help her pick out an outfit.

The rest of the day was pretty good. I barely had work and my friends kept making me laugh.

Once Kris and I arrive, we both head straight to the fridge. I end up settling with a bottle of water while she prepares some grapes for herself.

Afterwards, we go upstairs and she immediately rades her closet. She tries on atleast eight different outfits before deciding which outfits will earn the title of "top 3". She seriously did not play when it came to her clothes.

After deciding on her top 3, it was time for the final decision to be made. This was such a big deal to her. It felt like half an hour before she finally decided on one.

"You need a boyfriend," she began unexpectedly.

"I'm fine alone."

"Everybody needs a little love," she says jokingly

I giggled "Girl, hush. Let's just watch this movie."

We decided I would just stay over. I had extra clothes stashed away at her house anyway. She had clothes stashed at mine too.

We ended up playing some board games and dancing the night away. I already knew I would be really tired in the morning and I had to mentally prepare myself for the last two days of the school week.

The sound of Kris' alarm made my ears ache as the obnoxious sound filled the room. I needed more sleep, but I knew I was out of luck. Kris and I both did our daily routine, finishing in just enough time to eat a bowl of cereal. I poured cereal into both of our bowls while she grabbed the milk from the fridge. We eventually ended up dancing and singing our way to the bus stop. I always had so much fun with her.

As soon as we entered the school, it was time for our first class of the day.

Luckily, we had a substitute so I was able to get a nap in. At lunch, Maya had me cracking up. She is so funny. Bianca and Kris were working on a project during lunch period.

"Where do you live?" I asked Maya

"These apartments off of Cyan street."

"Oh, I used to live near Cyan. Do you like it over there?"

"No, not at all. It's too much going on over there."

"So your parents like it there?"

"It's just me and my dad." She said. "But it's really all we can afford right now."

"Oh.." I replied, feeling bad for prying. "Sorry"

She chuckled. "Oh no it's alright, I don't mind."

Afterwards, we just talk about things that don't really matter.

When lunch is over, the day flies by and is quite uneventful. The next day is just the same.

Arriving home, I head straight for my room already knowing that my mom isn't home. She's been working alot lately. I don't do much and end up falling asleep.

Waking up on Saturday morning, I did my hygiene thing and headed straight for the kitchen. After fixing my food and packing my things for Bianca's house, I decided to watch tv. I couldn't find anything to watch as always, so I ended up listening to music instead.

"Hey honey. Your dad wants you to call him," My mom said while entering the room.

"Alright will do. I'm headed to Bianca's in a few."

"Ok."

That was the end of our conversation.
I sat patiently waiting for Bianca to come get me. She had already picked Maya up. We rode with the music blasting as we bobbed our heads, and did different types of dances. We ended up receiving looks from passing cars which was so hilarious. Once we stepped inside of the house, I immediately smelled food. It made my stomach smile. After eating, we ended up watching a couple of LifeTime movies which had us cracking up. Bianca, Kris, and I always made fun of these types of movies. Maya made it even funnier. She was from Louisiana so her accent is what really made it funny.

We eventually just sat around talking about different things. We had a dance contest which I was forced to participate in. I don't dance. Maya won. We also made covers to a few songs. That was one of my favorite parts. Realizing it was one o'clock in the morning, we decided to settle down. As always, Bianca fell asleep first. Subsequently, Kris followed. This left Maya and I up to chat. We told eachother about some funny things we've experienced. I told her about this one time this guy on my bus tried to hit on our bus driver. She was laughing so hard. She has a very pretty smile.

"I'm so glad I have you as friend." She said while smiling

"I'm glad too. I really enjoy your company. "

"I didn't think I would become close to anyone here, but I guess I thought wrong. "

I laughed "You sure did. I honestly didn't think I would make any new friends this year. I'm so lucky I met you. You have one of those personalities that just brightens up my day." I say genuinely

"Aww thank you." She smiles again.

"Your smile is really pretty by the way. "

"Mine? Yours is amazing. "

I end up laughing "If you say so."

Suddenly, the one thing I least expected to happen, happened.

She kisses me...
