Bennett sat under a tree, it was a very large tree, many animals surrounded it and nature was very luscious. He just finished getting rid of the hilichurl camp nearby, almost dying but it was worth it to him! He just finished wrapping up his knee, and stood up to stretch, when his knee gave out on him and he came crashing down.
“Crap!” When he looked back up a Abyss Mage was there, laughing
“SAY! Look what we have here~ The ‘legendary’ unlucky little boy!”
“So what? Just because I’m unlucky doesn't mean anything..” Bennet pouted, rubbing the back of his head
“Well you’re unlucky enough to meet me~!” The Abyss Mage started to chant something, Bennett - as quickly as he could - stood up and pulled out his sword, aiming for the Abyss Mage. Before he could land a hit the Abyss Mage finished and a portal formed below Bennet, He slipped and yelled out
“KAEYA HELP!!” He fell in….
He opened his eyes, slowly to be met with a pair of light teal eyes. He jumped backwards as quickly as he could, his leg still injured.
“Who… are you?” The boy asked, his voice calm but had a kind of distant tone to it
“U-um.. I'm Bennett.. Who are you?”
“Im.. oh what's my name again?” The boy thought, “Oh yes, I’m Muichiro Tokito..”
“Hello then Muichiro! Um.. mind telling me where I am?”
“Japan..”
‘Japan? I've never heard anything about that.. WAIT! I have a map, don't I?’ He opened up the bag on his hip and pulled out a map of Teyvat. “Is Japan anywhere here?” he asked when he showed Muichiro the map
“Hm… maybe.. Follow me, I’ll ask someone who knows” Muichiro grabbed Bennett’s hand and dragged him
“So.. what's your name again ?”
“Bennett-”
“So Bennett, are you a Demon Slayer? I see you have a sword..”
“DEMON?! WHAT?! WHAT DEMONS?! WHERE?!”
“I'll take that… as a.. *yawn* no.. why do you have a sword then?”
“To protect myself? I mean there's so many enemies out there!”
“Are you good with it?”
“Yeah! I learned from the best! Kaeya…. I wonder what he's doing right now!” Bennett’s face darkened and you could see him sadden. “I miss him..”
“Never heard of him…”
“You don't even remember your own name-”
“Oh yeah..”
They arrived at the Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters -
“Iguro…” He said looking up towards a tree, still holding Bennett’s hand
“What?!” Obanai snapped back at Muichiro
“I found this guy… can you help him..?”
“If he’s injured then go to Shinobu” He deadpanned
“No... he’s lost”
“Well actually I am hurt, a tree fell on my knee-” Bennett said
“We can... Take care of that *yawn* later… that cloud looks like a stingray”
“Do you have a map you can show me, kid?” Iguro jumped off the tree and landed on his feet
“Yeah,” he pulled back out the map and showed it to Iguro
“Hm… well Japan isn't anywhere on a continent like this.. Do you have a world map?”
“Pretty sure,” Bennet responded, he started to rummage through his bag, a bunch of stuff fell out as he did.
“Ara Ara~ What's this?” A girl with faded purple hair picked up a sparkle shaped, blue, white, and pink gem
“AH! That's mine!” Bennett snatched it away then shoved it into his bag “Okay I found the map,” He handed it to Iguro,
“Hm.. gimme a sec, it kinda big” He walked away
“M-my map-”
“Wow… you’re right Kocho, this is a very pretty gem. Hey.. was that stone always that big?”
“Where did you find it?” Shinobu looked at Bennett with a questioning look
“O-Oh! Um... Where I live there are treasure chests everywhere, that's where you can get them..!”
“Ara Ara~ How interesting! Well, you said you injured your leg, lets go get that fixed up”
“Oh! Yeah, thanks, Miss..?”
“Kocho Shinobu~”
“Well I’m Bennett!” he said excitedly
“What a strange name”
“Thanks?”
As Bennett (limped) walked over to an unoccupied bed, he saw 3 boys (maybe). One with dark red hair, another with yellow hair and abnormally small limbs, and... The last one with a boar head..?
He stared for a bit at them then, sat down on a bed and took off his boots, goggles, and gloves, he set them on a shelf nearby. He flopped down onto the bed and closed his eyes. He wasn't tired enough to fall asleep but he was still worn out. He was still very confused about where he was, but he could figure that out later.
(he uses the skyward blade btw)
/ Shinobu’s POV \
“What a strange boy… he dresses so differently and he carries a sword that isn't even made out of the right materials.. It glows a very strange color and it's even a bright teal.. I've never seen anything like it”
I walked over to the sleeping boy and took off his belt (NOT IN A WEIRD WAY) I opened up the bag and emptied it, making sure nothing broke. Inside there was
3 apples, at least 100 of those mysterious gems (I'd like to imagine them as small as a fingernail), some plants, a bunch of bandages and wrap, 5 maps, and 3 pictures.
I picked up one of the pictures to get a closer look at it. There were 2 boys, a small girl, and Bennett, The tallest male had dark blue hair, tan skin, and an eye path. He had a soft smile, and he was ruffling Bennett’s hair. The other boy had bright blond hair and blue eyes, and there was a major height difference between the 2, and they stood holding hands. Then stood Bennett smiling, holding a girl in red in one of his arms and giving a thumbs up with another. The girl had bright red clothes, and her hair was blond, in low twin ponytails. What struck me odd was her elf-like ears, Was she a demon? {Kaeya, Albedo and Klee}
Besides that, all 4 of them were smiling and looked like a family... I wonder if they are.
The other picture also had 4 people in it. Bennett, a boy with long gray hair and hood, a purple goth girl, and a boy with long blond hair in a braid. All 4 were smiling like there was no tomorrow, they looked like they were celebrating. {Razor, Fishcl, and Aether)
The last one was the oddest one, it had a boy with black hair fading into teal, and he was holding some sort of instrument that had strings (Venti). He was playing it and Bennett was fast asleep on his lap (not a ship)
I flipped over to the back of that one and there was something written there, it read “Picture taken by Kaeya, P.S This is blackmail now. Also, love you, and have a good time on your expedition! <3 the better dad” The writing was a bit messy but still neat enough to make it out easy enough. A little bit below it something else was written
“Sorry about him, have a good time and be safe, Love, your other dad” This writing was much neater and more professional
“BYE-BYE BIG BROTHER!!!!!!!!! <3 <3 <3 KLEE!!” I could tell that this was written by someone younger because of how messy it was, but it was still readable.
“Ara Ara~ Bennett must have gone away and his family gave him this picture as a gift... How cute” I smiled at the 3 pictures then placed everything back in his bag neatly.
“Shinobu? Whos this?” Tanjiro asked, looking at the boy
“Muichiro found him in the woods and brought him back because he was lost and hurt, I think he’ll be okay though... How about you?”
“I’m doing better, I think that training you mentioned, I’ll be ready for a day or two.”
“Good good..”
/ 3rd Person POV \
“Ara Ara~ his sword is quite the strange one,” Shinobu said, picking it up. “Maybe Tengen will know something about it” She grabbed it, struggling to pick it up. “This sword is... Quite heavy. Tanjiro, could you help me?” She smiled innocently at him, cursing herself for having such weak arms
“Oh, yes! Of course” He walked over and picked it up, it was still quite heavy to him but he managed
“Thank you~ Let’s go to the sound hashira”
