We lie on my bed.
There's a girl in red song playing softly in the background.
We enjoy our time together but something is different.
I've made up my mind to make a move.
Of course you don't know.. But you will.
I listen to the music.. Very carefully.. The text, their voice and try to leave my fears behind me.
Today.. Now:
My heart jumps up into my throat.. Butterflies.
,,Me question..", I say.
You turn your face to me as far as you can because my head is lying on your shoulder and you start laughing:
,,You are a question?"
,,Yes of course! I am a question and you are a statement.", I say while laughing nervously, annoyed by my dumb words.
Again.. Only the soft music fills the room, we're silent.
I feel my heart beating faster.
,,I have a question", I now say more clearly.
You smile: ,,Yes?"
I go silent again, not knowing how to form my sentence:
If you don't ask them now, the answer will always be no, I tell myself.
,,Can I kiss you?"
,,What did you say?"
Too quiet.. Damn it.
,,Can I kiss you?"
My voice breaks on the last syllable, but you heard me.
,,Mhmm.."
,,"Mhmm yes" or "Mhmm no"?", I ask.
,,Mhmm" (yes)
I grin slightly and look into your eyes. Then on your lips. I hesitate..
Is this really happening right now? Must be a dream..
I put my hand on your cheek while looking deeply into your eyes.
The next song plays in the background.
Our lips touch, I close my eyes.
16th of this month
I think about last night.
We talked until 3am.
We were closer than ever before.
I looked into your eyes.. It felt like an eternity.
