"PLAYER 002, PLAYER 218, PLAYER 456, WELCOME TO THE FINAL GAME."
They were all waiting outside of the familiar game hall from the second game. "Before we begin, we'll flip a coin to decide who plays offense or defense. Player 002 will then pick what side he'd like to join." The square man informed, no one taking that into account as it was useless information. Of course Han-jin would pick Sang-woo. "Please choose a shape. Triangle or square." The man informed, holding a coin ahead of them. Han-jin gulped, tasting iron as his shirt was stained red still. He looked to Gi-hun as he felt blood crack on his chin. He hadn't had time to wash it off as they went straight into a game. "Triangle." The man spoke up, keeping eye contact with Sang-woo. He was outraged at the man. Sae-byeok had told him that the man had manipulated Han-jin and that was a horrible thing to do, of course.
He had taken advantage of a teenager for his own benefit. Used him for his own needs. He never really cared about Han-jin. He used him. Used, not cared. the square man flipped the coin none-the-less, Han-jin watching it. The square man caught it, opening his hand to reveal, "It's triangle," Gi-hun blinked. "Please choose either offense or defence." The square man ordered, Gi-hun keeping eye contact with Sang-woo as he shrugged. "Offense." He let out, Sang-woo inhaling sharply. "Player 456 will play offense. Player 218 will play defence. Player 002, what team would you like to join?" The boy looked up, looking between Gi-hun and Sang-woo. He hated how Sang-woo encouraged murder from him, but it was for his grandpa. Gi-hun was more welcoming but he felt drawn to Sang-woo. There was a magnet between the two that he couldn't get rid of. That meant it worked. Sang-woo's plan this entire time had worked. He had broken down Han-jin and fixed him again.
To his little puppet.
"I would like to join..." He spoke, his pause making the two men look to him. Gi-hun watched as Sang-woo nodded to the teen encouragingly, the boy's jaw tensing. He then looked to Gi-hun, the man looking down. He didn't want to see Han-jin at all. He had killed Sae-byeok. He still killed her and hadn't even apologised. "Defence." Han-jin sighed, Sang-woo nodding as Gi-hun looked back up to him. Did Han-jin stall for real or was it a part of the plan they were playing? "Very well. Both Player 218 and 002 will defend as Player 456 plays offense." The square man announced, turning around to open the door. Han-jin blinked to adjust to the sudden daylight as Sang-woo nudged him forward. The three walked out after the masked man as he explained the rules. "For the final game, you'll both be playing Squid Game." Front Man stared at Han-jin's back, hoping the blood wasn't his.
He, himself, was stood with VIPs as his wound had been treated by the doctors. "Squid Game." The lion VIP let out, looking to Front Man. "What an odd name." He let out, Front Man sighing. "It was originally a children's game that was played in Korea many years go." He informed, the lion VIP humming. "Let me explain the rules of Squid Game." The masked square announced, Han-jin already knowing the rules. This was a game that you could play with two players, the boy always playing with his grandpa as that was a game he used to enjoy when he was young. "One, the attacker must enter the squid shape court, run past the defence, and then tap the area inside the squid's head with his foot to secure the win." Han-jin stared at Gi-hun's back, him keeping stoic. He was pissed at the two of his fellow players. "Two, the defence must block the attacker's advance and force them outside the court's bounds in order to win."
