finn and alex sits in the bench laughing "wait wait wait so you actually made her cry?" alex said trying to get out from their laughter "yep, i told you, and i gotta tell you this she almost fell in that hole" finn said as he look at alex, whose dying from laughter.
you might think they were best of friends but you're wrong finn is just courting this girl, emma who he really likes but emma is gay and she felt so bad for him so she sent out her best friend alex to comfort him.
after the laughter they stop for a moment for silence to eat their ice cream. "so this might be a little cliché but wanna play truth or dare?" alex said "yeah sure," finn answered. "truth or dare?" alex said "truth" finn replied "why do you like her? emma?" alex question him he tried to laugh it off but alex looked at him in silence waiting for an answer.
"ah shit i don't know man, emma is the only person who ever really treats me like a normal person not just "the dude from the stranger things" (he air quoted) plus i am comfortable around her" finn playing with his ice cream.
emma knows that her best friend alex, have been in love to finn for ages. she wants to help them because alex is the one who helped emma come out to her parents. emma knows that alex likes finn but alex don't know it yet.
"how about your friends in the industry? why don't try and court one of them?" alex suggested. finn scoffed "look man, i'm just trying to help." alex said. finn ignored their suggestion and proceeded to ask alex "truth or dare?" finn looking at alex. they connected a stare without looking anywhere else alex said "dare".
finn lean into alex's shoulder and said "help me" as they sit in a bench at mall they looking at 7/11 and by that time alex find a perfect solution to solve their dare. alex stand up and finn looked at them confused "up" alex said giving finn a hand. "where are we going" finn asked "we're going to do my dare" alex smirks like a sociopath.
alex and finn goes inside of 7/11 "alex, what are we doing? literally?" finn whines "we're gonna get high" alex smile. the worker looks at them concerned and confused. alex realized what she said "no no no,, you don't understand it- i mean it's just a joke-" alex tried to explain. the worker slowly goes in a staff only room "nice meeting you!" finn smiled awkwardly "it really is!" alex chimes in with a shout.
alex runs to get two things a two slushy and two beers they paid it off and they got back again in the bench. alex put their ice cream in the slushy and alex add the beer in it. "woah what the hell are you doing?!" finn whispering shouts "i guess it's an ice cream, with slushy, and i guess beer?" alex said sarcastically "dude you're literally an adult you have never tried this before? finn? (they looked around for a while and take a long pause) are you...a saint?" alex said
which weirdly pissed finn off and after the too many dares and truth. finn and alex are drunk.
"truth or dare" alex as she sings it "truth" finn said without hesitation. "okaaaay,, finn wolfhard what is the highlight of your movie?" alex said "dude, i am an actor. you have to more specific" finn said. "not that you airhead" alex said while they playfully pushed finn. "i mean what's the highlight of finn wolfhard colon, the movie" alex magically said while their hands is on the air. finn just looked at them confused. "oh dear lord, you are an airhead." alex shook their head with disappointment.
finn took a long pause "i don't really have one." finn said. alex stands up and hop on in their bicycle. "come on" they said to finn. he stands up into the bicycle. he is terrified of bicycle but he is totally comfortable with alex. "so what we're going to a top of hill? looks at the city? ugh be original" finn said jokingly "i wish i don't how to bike this thing in a hill with you on it" alex laughed.
alex drove into an abandoned resort. the place looks colorless everything is completely ok and working but it's build up with dust "alex! what the hell! we're trespassing!" finn said with the most panicking voice ever. "relax dude! it's ours" Alex shouted at finn"then why is it aban-" "bankrupt of course" alex cut off finn.
"my mom paid it off but she never used it she said because the older the property the higher its value" alex while they walk. finn followed alex they ended in the inside pool. the pool itself is filled with painting instead of water and the walls, it's like a mural art but more beautiful "you did this?" finn asked genuinely "yep and after this you to answer me my question" alex while she jumped out of the pool finn joined them.
they both lay down in to the pool and they saw the painting in the roof "oh my god you're talented" finn said. "shhhh" "stop talking. just close you're eyes" alex said calmly. alex closed their eyes. they sit in silence, finn didn't close his eyes. he just looks at alex. they both didn't say a word for a minute. "i know my answer" finn break the silence "really what is it" alex asked with a smile.
they connected an eye contact. "you, you're my highlight" finn said.
