I was a journalist for a local newspaper company in the city. I had been a journalist for two years, and I enjoyed it. I became a journalist when I was twenty eight years old; here I am now at thirty years old.
It was a Monday morning, and I was sitting in my office. I was finishing up on a segment, that I was writing from the previous week. Then; I heard a knock at my office door.
"Come in" I said.
Then; my office door opened, and Regina came in my office. Regina was the assistant of my boss.
"Hey Rachel. Your boss wants to see you in his office" Regina said.
"Alright, thank you. I'll be right there" I said.
I stood up from my desk, and walked out of my office. I knocked on my boss's door, and went inside his office.
"You wanted to see me, sir?" I asked.
"Yes; please sit down Rachel" My boss said.
I sat down in one of the chairs, in front of my boss's desk. I began to feel anxious of what my boss was going to say to me.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"I have a job for you" My boss said.
"Alright. What do you have?" I asked.
"I need you to travel to Aquatica. You are to gather some information about the testing of the sharks there. There is a scientist there who is trying to find a cure for Alzheimer's" My boss explained.
"Alright. Then come back here and publish a segment on it?" I said.
"That's correct" My boss replied.
"Alright sir. I'll do that" I replied.
"Great! I knew I could count on you" My boss said.
"Who am I supposed to be meeting with?" I asked.
"You will be leaving tomorrow. Also; you will be meeting with Dr. Susan McCallister. She is the scientist who is testing on the sharks on a cure for Alzheimer's. She wants a story published on her research" My boss explained.
"Alright. I've got it covered" I said.
"A helicopter will take you to Aquatica first thing in the morning" My boss added.
"Okay sounds good. Thank you sir!" I said.
That night; I packed my things and got everything ready, to leave the next day. I was hoping that this job would go well.
