Another day of my life hoping for no drama. I stretched my arms wide as I groaned. Turning to the side, I saw the little girl. My little girl. She was fast asleep. Maybe dreaming. Her lips had a cute little pout while she hugged her teddy with her arms and legs wrapped around it.Without disturbing her sleep, I swiftly got out of the bed tiptoeing to the washroom to freshen up for yet another day.
I took a shower and got ready for the office. As soon as I came out, I saw her sitting up straight, on the bed, teddy still in her arms, rubbing her eyes. I walked towards the bed and sat beside her."Aww, Sarang baby woke up," I said as I picked her up and made her sit on my lap. She refused to do that, putting her arms around my neck, hugging me tightly, acting to be asleep.
"This won't make me change my decision. You'll have to go to school baby" I chuckled as she broke the hug and groaned. "Mom please!!" she exclaimed with her pouty lips. "Nope, I'm not agreeing to this one" She sighed. I took her to the washroom to get her ready for school.
TIME SKIP
I decided to drop her off while on my way to the office. I told the driver about the same.I reached the office pretty late but it was fine since I had no early morning meetings. Also, being the CEO of the company gives you some benefits. Not that I always give in to those benefits. Only if it is important or related to Sarang, I use my position as the CEO.
I walked inside the building as the receptionist greeted me. Being a single mom and building up a company as huge as this is tough. But the fact that I made it here was the only reason I had my head held up high. It was my hard work and patience that got me here. And it will be the same for when I grow.
Unlike some people, who live off their parents' hard work. They get it ready-made. Those who even after getting the company without any struggle continue to live like that making their employees work their asses off. At least appreciate the responsibility you've been given and fulfill it. I despise those kinds of people. Especially one.
And that one, this early in the morning, was spread all over my cabin couch as if it's his own room. I didn't just hate him because of him living off his parents' hard work and money. I have known him since childhood. He was one of my classmates and the one who made my high school life miserable.
My misery had stopped after high school was over. Just the thought of never seeing him again made me the happiest.
Only for the happiness to come crashing down after a few years. Now he was not just any old high school bully, but also a business rival.
It annoyed me that this jerk got all he wanted and is living his life the way I wanted to but could never. One more reason I built this company. So that no person could talk low of me.
"Jungkook, what the hell are you doing here?" I questioned him. Even his presence annoyed me. "Good morning to you too" he replied as he stood up to walk towards me. I walked past him, to my desk, not wanting to be close to him.
"What do you want, Jungkook," I asked him again, letting him know I was annoyed by his presence. "A smile from you" he announced, grinning. I scoffed at him.
He sighed loudly and continued, "Which I might never get so I'll get straight to the point. The deal you've been planning to sign with Park enterprises. Well, you can cancel that and rather congratulate me" he paused as I looked up at him in disbelief, "Mr. Park signed the deal with us".
At this point I was so pissed, was his presence in my life not bad luck in itself that he had to work on that bad luck? It's been a year since he's back in my life. He took whatever chance he got to piss me off, tease me. Even now he was here for the same thing, to tick me off that he snatched the deal from me. But after knowing him all these years I knew he was here just to get a reaction out of me. Not wanting to give him that satisfaction, I sat down at my desk ignoring him.
