Amethyst hooted loudly as they sped down the road, looking back carefully. She was proud that her upgrades were working so well. She stopped to question HOW she knew it, and growled to herself quietly, the interface still showing the annoying amnesia effect. She sighed and checked her other stats, seeing a sleep counter, a nutrient checker, a mental stability meter?
Doing a double take she stopped and looked at it, seeing it fluctuate slowly near the less stable mark. She sighed quietly, taking deep breaths and letting the irritation from the amnesia subside, and watched the marker slowly move down a notch. She nodded to herself and moved her eye to the next set of stats the pip-boy recorded. She laughed out loud, alerting Kat to her pip-boy screen.
"What is it?" Kat asked, seeing odd names plastered across the odd shaped pip-boy's screen. Amethyst lit up for a second, before a confused look passed over her face."I still don't know exactly how, but I know music when I see it Kat!" Quickly pressing a random song, Amethyst was shocked when it echoed out of not only her own pip-boy, but also out of Kat's pip-boy and Gus's speakers too! Kat laughed in shock as she started listening as well, humming with the tune quietly.

____________________________________________At first the scene is quiet, a desolate road shrouded by the tall trees around it. A mongrel dog can be seen sniffing at the empty wrappers and skeletons that litter the side of the road. It whines quietly, it's short, panting breaths highlighting it's malnourished form. Suddenly the dog sees a scrap of food in the center of the road, a severed hand dropped by super mutants that had passed through recently.
The dog slowly starts gnawing on it, the sickening sound of flesh tearing the only sound for a minute. The dog pauses, it's ears rotating and it's nose sniffing. In the distance a rumbling approaches, the dog turning to try and distinguish the direction.
But before the poor mutated mutt can react, it is rolled over quickly, it's body crushed beneath the weight of the speeding Sentry Bot. As the bot continues rolling into the distance, a faint song can be heard playing from it's speakers.
——————————————————————As the road wound it's way through the dense forest, Kat kept glancing around, taking in the views around her. Amethyst did as well, but to her it was different. She didn't know what she was expecting, but this green overgrown world definitely wasn't it. For some reason, she remembered the cartoonish wasteland Vault-tec always depicted, a desert riddled with hostile environments, and even more hostile animals.
She strained harder to remember, trying to push past the fog at the end of her recollection. She gasped as she saw a face in it, one she knew she should recognize. She knew it was a woman, with similar hair to hers, and for a split second she heard her own voice, a much younger version of it, happily squeal a single word that broke her concentration.
"Momma!"
