BARAGO

Valley of bones

The purple sky high above the moutains  blanketed the land, Barago the man who would be king walked in the vally between the lifeless mountains of stone. The sound of rocks and pebbles crunched under his feet as he tred, wind howling like the restless dead keepng his gurd he looks up at the dead trees hanging over the  ridges above his head before turning his gaze back to the path before him.

 *Tick padder padder padder* goes the rocks as they slide down the ridges above, barago stops and looks up  but sees nothing and so he keeps moveing forward his time here has revealed the bones of countless dead but these bones did not die of starvation or thirst they are marked with teeth and claws their skulls crushed and the limbs scatterd. This is the closest thing to the land of the dead anyone in the living world will incouter that is if they are brave enough to come.

*TICK CRUNCH PADDER PADDER* again the noise is heard louder than before and closer to barago he comes to a halt and turns around  focused on the ridges and trees his hand grips the handle of his sword, sencing danger but not seeing it he turns back around and continues on his path ready to fight he slows his pace a gentle breeze comes carying a sent to his nostrels the sent is not of any human or beast barago knows this breings his full attention. His eyes widen and his face his blank knowing not to show fear prepairing for confrontaion he draws his sword and stands at the ready the wind howls louder like a starving beast, lesser men would lose their nerve not barago his heart beats to the drums of battle. 

AAAAAAAAHHUUUGH!! comes the wailing of a beast quickly barago turns around and sees a tall gray ape man fast aproching him, it's red eyes narrow, it's arm raises with hand cluching a stone the size of a mans head and it bears it's long sharp yellow teeth letting the drool and slobber splatter around. 

Barago's eyes widen then he rolls doging the beast, barago down on one knee turns his body and strikes the side of the beast AAAAUUGH! it cries as steel cuts deep into the fleash and into the guts barago stands up and with one quick WACK! he hacks off the head of the ape, AAUGH AAUGH OOH OOOUH AAH! AAAH! come the sounds of more ape men shouting and charging barago with clubs, rocks, bones and even their claws. 

Holding his sword high barago quickly looks for a way out but he's cornerd these low browed savage beast who bear the bodies and faces of men inclose on him seeing no exit barago faces the horde WACK WACK WACK WOOSH WACK!  again and again barago hacks and slashes the beast with his sword their dark blood splatters on the barbarian as he's cutting off arms, legs, heads even ripping out jaw bones he fights to keep these apes from makeing him their next meal one beast jumps on his back wraping it's hairy legs around his weist the beast sinks it's fangs into baragos shoulder AAG! he roars it does not weakin' him he backs up slams the beast against the rocky wall while kicking his legs and swinging his sword wildly. 

Again and again he slams the beast untill it loosens it's hold barago turns the tip of his sword towards him and stabs  the beast in the gut not turning his body he pulls the sword out and swings it around hitting the others the flowing motion of his sword swings are like the swirling water in a river. Barago grabs the same beast he stabed and cuts the head off he then bashes the head of his kill against the face of another ape man swing both the head and his sword wildly he manages to drive back the beast creating enough space to get his back away from the wall. 

Barago stands tall ready for the attack but as quickly has they came the beast stop dead in their tracks their faces flood with fear and they turn and scramble up the slopes and walls runing as fast as their legs could carry then. 

"Thats right RUN you filthy beast!" he shouts panting, lowering his sword barago drops the severd head of the apeman and continues walking suddenly a hot blast of air hits the back of his neck feeling something wet barago reaches his hand to the back of his neck and pulls back reveling a wet goo looking at it with a puzzled look he turns around and sees a massive tyranosaurus rex of black scales and an orange jagged stripe starting from both the eyes and narrowing down to a fine point at the nostrals staring him down. 

Barago's eyes widen he holds his sword up ready to attack the beast lunges snaping it's jaws barago dodges but gets scraped by the teeth he swings his sword striking the snout rasing up, the beast shakes it's head and lunges again getting cut a second time. 

The giant reptile lets out a loud roar RRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWRRR!! and then gives chase his massive feet make a loud BOOM! as they trample the ground below. Running with the speed of a cheetah barago's long brown hair flows behind him has he runs faster and faster barago begins to pant but he does not slow he pushes through qickly he turns his head back and sees his presuer closing the distance turning his eyes back to the front barago quickly stops and begins to climb up a slope. 

The Tyranosaurus comes up from behind snapping his massive jaws barago swings his sword hitting the reptile on the nose not wanting to see if it drove it off barago climbs higher a few more feet untill he reaches the edge he pulls him self up and rolls over laying on his back. *Pant Pant* he lays there, sweat poring from his face his lungs feel like they have been left out in the sun, gasping for air barago rolls over and peeks down to see the tyranosaurus pacing back and forth gazeing up and him. 

The beast crouches down and jumps up barago rolls back over away from the edge, it's jaws open and then snaps shut again but with out barago in them te impack of the beast landing shakes the earth beneth barago. 

Peeking back down barago sees the tyranosaurus stomping away letting out his roars, getting away from the edge again barago takes a breath for releaf and gets back up with his breath returned barago continues to his destination.
