"God I hate the rain!", Nathalie kept ranting, as she and Gabriel exited the car to have dinner at the Dupain-Cheng's home, "why did we have to go here instead of them coming over?"
Gabriel just laughed and held his blazer over her head, as neither of them had remembered to bring an umbrella. After a few steps, they entered through the glass door and were immediately out of the rain.
"Better, my love?", Gabriel tried to sooth her. But Nathalie was still in a bad mood. She had been throwing up for several times this day and was now still feeling a little sick and well, as the designer had called it, very hormonal.
He only had said that once though, he didn't dare a second time. Not after the response he had gotten for it. He had never seen her like that before and though she scared him with her tantrum, he also liked when she showed so much emotions at once. But after that outburst, he'd rather keep her calm and content. So he tried to lighten her mood with being very courteously and sweet to her.
"I can't imagine anything, that could make a day like this any better, but at least it's dry here!", she lamented.
Sabine and Tom came to the entrance to greet them and show them to their kitchen, where they would be having dinner at the to them very small appearing table.
"Welcome Mr Agreste, Miss Sancoeur. We are so glad to have you here tonight!", the Chinese woman said friendly as she led them up the stairs.
"Gabriel and Nathalie will do!", the grey haired man suggested as he stopped at the top of the steps.
"Very well, same goes for us, it's Tom and Sabine!", Tom agreed.
"Would you like to take a seat already? You look rather pale, dear!", Sabine now addressed Nathalie.
The young assistant smiled at her friendly.
"That would be nice, thank you. I'm sorry, if I am a little moody today,it's just...."
But Sabine interrupted her:
"Don't worry, Marinette already told us. Congratulations by the way. To both of you. And now have a seat, I'll go and get you some tea. Special family recipe. It's delicious and will calm your stomach a little, Nathalie!", she cooed.
Tears brimmed Nathalie's eyes now, as she felt so touched by the older woman's care. Gabriel noticed and pulled her closer to his chest, while he said to the much smaller woman:
"That's very kind, thank you Sabine!"
