The doors closed behind us, my eyes flew open and I tapped Mattheo's shoulder signalling for him to put me down, and carefully, he did.
"Really? Fake fainting?" He raised an eyebrow unimpressed.
"Like you could have come up with better. You owe me BIG TIME man. I will never live that down." I told him. He laughed at me, earning himself a light punch on the arm.
"IM SERIOUS!" I said only making him laugh more.
"What do we do now?" I asked once he stopped laughing.
"We ditch." He replied.

We walked through the halls warily.
"So what was the whole Boggart thing about?" He asked randomly.
"What?" I asked, knowing full well what he meant, but needing time to come up with a lie.
"Your fear, was you...All bloody...why?" He asked.
"That's none of your business." I said jokingly but firmly.
"Fine." He said disappointedly. "I thought we were closer than that. But whatever." He said, in attempt to guilt trap me.
"Too bad." I laughed at his childish behaviour.
He rolled his eyes and looked away. I could tell something was bothering him and not just the Boggart situation.
"What's up?" I asked him.
"Huh?"
"You're being weird there's something on your mind."
"Wow, you can mind read too."
"It's one of my many talents." I nodded.
"Just bored." He shrugged.
"Oh I'm boring you now?" I snarled.
"No! It's just, we have a whole session to ourselves, and all we're gonna do is walk around?"
"What would you rather do?"
He smirked at me and I realised what he was pushing for.
"Ha Ha." I said sarcastically.
"I was going to say we go to my favourite spot in the school but..."
I felt embarrassed and looked at my feet.
"Get your mind out of the gutter, Y/n." He added.
"Whatever." I said. "Now what about this favourite spot you speak of?"
"Let me show you." He said, grabbing hold of my hand and pulling me with him as we jogged. I looked at my hand in his and felt my face flush a little.

We came to a set of stairs, I looked up at the spiral staircase and my jaw dropped slightly.
"You're kidding me right?"
"It's worth it I promise." He said making his way up the stairs. I hesitated before following him.
"This is gonna take us all day." I groaned, looking at the never ending stairs.
"Then we'll miss a few more classes." He said, already a far way ahead of me. He looked back at me and stopped in his tracks, giving me time to catch up.

We climbed the impossibly long staircase. It had been a tiring 10 minutes, I look up and realise we were only half way there.
I let out a cry of exhaustion before sitting in a stair. Mattheo rolled his eyes.
"Get up lazy ass."
"Shut up dumb ass." I replied, not moving. It was quiet for a second. I looked over at him he stared back at me.
"What?" I asked.
"I just can't believe you'd call me a dumb ass. I'm so hurt." He said sarcastically, hand over heart, pretending to be sad.
"Oh shut up." I said with a sigh, letting out a small laugh before getting back up and walking in front if him.
"This thing goes on forever, huh?" I spoke about the stairs.
"Don't worry love, we're almost there."
I froze. Shocked. It took him a few more steps to realise I had paused.
"What is it?" He asked, turning back to me.
"What did you just say?!" Turning to look at him.
"We're almost there?" He laughed.
"No before that! You just called me 'love'." I shook my head.
"Yeah? It's a nickname, I was being nice."
"Do not call me 'love' or I will CATCH FEELINGS." I said, it's true, being called 'love' was my weakness.
He chuckled. "Bloody hell, sorry for saying it then... love."
I glared at him coldly, and he smirked in return, before spinning and continuing the journey. I huffed, and carried on, myself. Butterflies filling my stomach.

A while has since passed and we eventually reached the top. I was amazed by what I was seeing. We were in the highest tower in Hogwarts, Mattheo was very correct, all that cardio was definitely worth the view.
We stood on balcony, looking over all of Hogwart's beauty, and more.
"Woah." I whispered to myself.
"Right?" Mattheo heard me.
I felt the crisp wind brush my face, and saw the glimmering lake just beyond the swaying forest trees. The tiny specks on the floor below us, too far away to recognise any of the students. I took a seat on the floor, peaking through the gaps of the railing at the view. Mattheo sat facing me.

"How'd you even find this place?" She asked me, not taking her eyes off the view.
"Exploring." I muttered simply.
"It's stunning."
"I know." I said, not taking my eyes off her face. We were talking about different things. One thing was much more beautiful than the other, and I was looking right at her.
