Two truths and a lie

chapter four- maverick

The car ride was anything but silent. We always play our favorite song on the way to school.

I still had some time so I asked my dad to drop me off at the cafe near my school, he allowed it I gave him a peck on the cheek n waved as he drove off in the broken-down truck that he insists is in perfect shape I laughed shaking my head.

I remembered why I was here and headed inside me and maverick always met here before school ever since we started. I waited for what seemed like forever.

Mind you he was always a late person. I sat down and stared at the clock waiting for him, I was starting to be really impatient and kept bouncing my leg up and down nervously.

At last, there he was Maverick "Sorry I'm late kinda woke up late" maverick tried to explain while huffing and puffing" I scoffed" Shut up and just walk with me" I replied in an angry tone. I couldn't even be mad at Maverick he was one of the only people i considered a friend i honestly dont know what i would do with out him by my side annoying me with every chance he gets.

as we were walking i was smiling thinking of when me and maverick were little kids and we would always have to share our birthdays since we had the same birthday.

he would always fight with me over the last piece of chocolate mud cake. Maverick gave me a confused look " What are you smiling at? Is it because I wore two different shoes" I laughed even harder when he told me because I didn't realize.

"Nope, just remembered how ugly you are" i joked, Maverick scoffed, rolling his eyes. "oh yeah your one to talk"I slightly nudged his shoulder causing him to trip. we laughed it off and talked so much as we walked to school We got to the gates of our school and we both groaned in sync we loved school but we hated the people there.
