3x01 (For the Next Millennium) part 1

Mikaelson Compound: Opening Montage

At the MIKAELSON COMPOUND, Freya is at the desk in the study, where she is writing a letter to Dahlia and Esther. She narrates in voiceover as the scene cuts to various locations while she catches her the 2 women up on what has been happening in New Orleans and her life.

"My dear mother and aunt Dahila, I hope this letter somehow finds you and that the both of you are doing well." Freya narrates 

Downstairs in the dining room, Klaus is sitting at the head of the table with Kol and Davina sitting opposites of each other at the table, Kol and Finn remain to stare at each other silently. Klaus looks amused and seems to be challenging his two brothers to say something, but both remain silent, with an emotionless face ignoring Klaus. After a moment, Kol stands to his feet and leaves the room, glaring at Finn the entire time. Just as Kol is about to walk out the door, Klaus opens his mouth to call him back and to sit down, trying to get the both of them to make peace, stating it was for Freya's happiness.

"It has been a few months since Klaus and I revived Kol and Finn, and they have both been staying at the Compound including Davina. Even though Klaus and Kol have not fully forgiven Finn for his past action, they are slowly getting there, and I know they both doing it for my sake.  You both are probably wondering why I'm writing this letter to both of you, if Klaus and Kol can start to forgive Finn, then maybe I can start to forgive the both of you. As for Elijah and Rebekah, Elijah only comes to the compound on the full moon to make sure that Hope can see Hayley out in the bayou, if not he is trying to convince witches to help with the cursed, Rebekah on the other hand, managed to find a way to help her witch body and left, to do her own thing leaving her family behind. No one knows of Finn and Kol's revival yet not even Elijah and Rebekah, every time Elijah comes over for Hope, or whenever they leave the house they use magical change their face, not wanting to stir up the magical community." Freya continues to narrate as she is writing.

The scene cuts to ST. ANNE'S CHURCH, where what looks like a cage made of chain-link fence and reinforced steel has been placed in the middle of what used to be the main room. Inside the cage, Marcel is shirtless and fighting against an unknown man whose skills are not enough to defeat him.

"Niklaus kept his word-- Marcel controls the Quarter. There, he has founded a fight gym in the old St. Anne's Church where he tests the mettle of those who wish to join his vampire community." Freya's voiceover.

The scene cuts back to the MIKAELSON COMPOUND, where Freya is sitting on the couch in the living room with a fussy and crying Hope. After a moment, Klaus comes into the room and picks up his crying daughter before rocking her on his hip to soothe her.

"While Hope continues to flourish, it is clear she misses her mother. Though Niklaus remains the doting father, he has been of no help in finding a cure for Hayley's curse." Freya voiceover.

The scene cuts to THE BAYOU, where night has fallen and the full moon is bright in the sky. The cursed Crescent wolves transform into their human forms, allowing Hayley to meet up with Elijah, Freya, and Hope, the latter of whom Hayley immediately pulls into her arms and embraces tightly with a wide, though weary, smile

"Despite Hayley's best efforts to convince Davina or I, to undo the spell placed on her and the Crescent wolves, we both kindly rejected not wanting to anger Klaus for all that he has done for us, to which Hayley did not care to voice her anger and continues to struggle, unable to see her child except for one night a month during the full moon." Freya voiceover.

The scene cuts to the streets of New Orleans, where Marcel has just met up with an annoyed Davina and is walking through the aisles of the street shops.
