(A/N, Listen up fellas. In this story Starflight ain't blind, And I won't be doin quotes from the actual book. All me. GOTTE?)
If somebody had told her she wouldn't be living in the mountain till she's 35, they would have ended up dead for lying. Now, if they added she would be the Queen of two tribes, and married to a NightWing assassin, all things would've broken loose.
She turned her head to look at Deathy, only to realize that he had been staring at her too. Then he gave her his smug look.
"What? Checking me out again? Glory didn't we talk about this? Can't hold yourself,"
"Be quiet" She yelled at him laughing, he just made her feel alive. More than even all of the four dragonets of destiny had combined. Even though he was very overprotective and often switched into "stalker mode" and was very creepy, but he was the best of her.
"Deathy..." She started.
She remembered Mangrove's itchy voice in her head: Tell him now Glory! Before you have to come to him with a born Dragonet! How do you think he'd react then? The longer you wait, the worse it will get Glory! I'm waring you!
"What's wrong Gloria?" He only used that nickname when he was worried, extremely smug, wanted to annoy her, or wanted her attention, or when he was happy, aka, always.
"It's...it's a Dragonet." She replied.
It seemed like the whole world had frozen...
Deathbringers handsome face, frozen.'
"Yours and My Dragonet?" He finally chocked out, fearing the worst.
She nodded, then a split second later was being lifted into the blue sky, with a grinning Deathbringer below her.
"I'm going to be a Father! A father Gloria! What are we going to name him?" He yelled finally putting her down.
"Hey big guy, how do you know it's a boy?" She asked, smiling from ear to ear.
"I guess it's just Father instinct." He said, smug smiling and shrugging at the same time.
As they flew to the Hatching place, Glory decided that the best way to introduce the Dragonet to the RainWings and NightWing is to not tell them. I know, brilliant right?
Now that Glory thought about it, the egg did look masculine. But she would never admit that to Deathbringer. His ego was already abnormally large.
The egg was white with black swirls. Why? Because White is often a color you will find on a RainWing egg, because it's the color their born with.
She looked at Deathbringer, he was looking at the egg, then at her, and at that moment, they both knew the egg was going to be perfect.
