"So you really like him right? This isn't one of those times where you get over him in a week?" I asked.
"Paris we had sex and I've never felt so much feelings for a man that I've dropped my panties for."
"Well technically you've never dropped your panties for any guy and it was a towel not panties."
"Smart ass, I'm just saying we've had a special connection that I haven't had with anyone else."
"What happens when you go back to New York Lilly?" I questioned.
"I haven't thought that far yet but I'll work on it."
I was so over talking about Josh and his secrets. I wanted to hear about Lilly and what was making her cheeks so flushed. She's not much help anyways when it comes to Josh because she stays neutral but I'm happy that she has found a really good guy, whose name I remember very well. Jake said I could stay as long as I wanted to and then he left the room so Lilly and I could finish talking.
"So he's still frozen in your bedroom?"
"Yes and I'm not sure I want to unfreeze him, he will only come over here and pick a fight with Jake."
"Maybe it's a bad idea for you to be here." Lilly said.
"I know but it's only for tonight and then I'll go to NaNa's house."
It was late when we went to bed, Lilly was nice enough to sleep with me so I wouldn't feel alone. It reminded me of our high school days when we had sleepovers and stayed up all night talking about cute boys and the slutty girls in our school. Her being beside me calmed me down and before I knew it I was sleep. I woke up to a loud sound and jumped out of bed, Lilly was beside me freaking out.
"What's going on?" I whispered.
"I don't know."
I opened the door but it was too dark to see anything. I told Lilly to stay behind me and keep quiet, then we walked down the stairs. When I reached the bottom of the stairs I saw Josh and Jake, but they weren't alone.
"I'm gonna give you one more warning to leave before I snap your neck." Josh said.
A third figure popped out of the dark and I noticed it was the Spanish guy that tried to rob me. What the hell is going on. He turned to look at me and grinned.
"Hola mi amor, we meet again."
"Paris, take Lilly back upstairs now." Josh said.
"But if she leaves she won't be able to hear the news."
He walks over to me and Josh flinches.
"No Josh let me hear what he has to say."
We were now inches apart and he reached for my stomach.
"Don't fucking touch her." Josh growled.
"Not so fast lover boy, you wouldn't want to upset the baby."
"What do you want?" I asked.
"It's not what I want, it's what they want."
"They who?"
"My masters," He moved slowly towards the stairs and sat down "They sent me here to deliver a message."
"Which is." Josh snarled.
"Ding dong the witch is dead." He began to laugh as his eyes rolled back into his head.
"What do you mean the witch is dead."
"Pudrición en el infierno puta."
"Tell me or I swear I will rip your throat apart."
"I just love the smell of newborn babies and the way the mother glows. So mi amor girl or boy?"
"That's none of your business."
"Soon enough you'll be dead just like your Nana."
My legs couldn't support me anymore and I was feeling dizzy, did I hear that right.
"What have you done?" I whispered.
"I like you when you're vulnerable."
I couldn't take it anymore I had to get out of there. I turned and ran out of the house to the place where I felt safe.
"Nana!" There was no response. "Nana please answer me!"
I could smell the metallic in the air, it was like a cloud of smoke that hit me in my face when I open the door. I dropped down to my knees when I saw Nana surrounded by blood.
"Nana wake up please, don't do this to me! I need you." I crawled over and held her head. ",you'll be fine Nana, you just need some rest."
Josh was by my side trying to pull me away from her body.
"We have to help her Josh."
"Paris! You're in denial."
I closed my eyes and covered my ears. I wasn't in denial, she's still good, all she needs is to see the doctor.
"We.....have to..... help." I whispered.
"No we have to go someplace where you are safe."
"I'm not safe anywhere Josh."
"I think it's time we take a visit."
"A visit where?"
"It's a surprise."
He picked me up off of the bloody floor and carried me away from my childhood.
