"You should see this place at sunset!" I said excitedly, leaning over the railing.
"I might. There is no way I'm going back down those, in a while." She said looking at the staircase. We both laughed. I put my legs over the railing one by one and sat on it. Y/n looked at me with shock.
"Please don't kill yourself." She said, sitting on the floor of the other side of the balcony.
"Don't worry, I'm careful." I said confidently, while slowly standing up on the railing.
"Oh my god." Y/n muttered anxiously. She couldn't watch, and looked away.
"Aww... you care." I chuckled.
"I just don't want it to look like I murdered you." She lied.
"Mhm." I mumbled unconvinced.
"Whatever. Just get down, please." She asked irritated.
"You scared?" I teased.
"No." She rolled her eyes, making my grin widen.
"What about... now?" I asked, hanging one foot over the edge of the tower. My one leg wobbled a little.
"Are you crazy?! Stop!" She shouted, her nervousness showing her voice.
"You care. Admit it." I teased more.
"What?! Get down Mattheo!" She panicked.
I laughed.
"Mattheo! Please, get the fuck down!" She yelled, standing up quickly.
"Ok! Ok. Jeez." I said putting my foot back down on the railing. Suddenly I lost my balance and my foot slipped.
"Shit!" I yelled beginning to fall. From this high up, it was certain death.
Faster than light, Y/n dashed, just able to catch my arm. She yanked me back over the rail using all her might. We landed on the floor together, me on top of her, I rolled away immediately. Neither of us spoke, just huffed from relief.
"Careful my ass." She finally said.
The both of us erupted into laughter, laying on our backs, next to one another. Until we heard laughing that wasn't ours. We sat up, searching for a source of this mysterious laughter. At the top of the stairs, watching us was two, identical red head boys stood, in their hands was a large bucket of water, and from context, we had an idea of what they were here for.
"Who are you?" Y/n asked them. Their laughter died and they answered,
"I'm Fred, and this is my brother-" The one on the right began to introduce them.
"George." The one on the left cut in.
In sync the two of them reached to shake
Y/n's hands. She shook George's hand, and then switched to Fred, and talked again.
"Mattheo." They both said at the same time while nodding at me.
"Y/n... Draco's sister." Y/n clarified.
"We know who you are." George smiled.
"That's... creepy." She said.
"No, we saw you at the housing ceremony. Plus everyone's talking about you." George added.
"Is that a good thing?" Y/n asked.
"Yeah, your the talk of the school." Fred informed her.
"Right." She said unenthusiastically.
"Anyway..." I said changing the topic.
"What are you guys doing here?" I asked despite how obvious it was.
"We're gonna dump some water on people." Fred shrugged. The two of them carried on, dragging the bucket towards the edge of the building.
"I guess we should be going." I said standing up, holding out my hand for Y/n, like a gentleman. She took it and stood with a groan at the thought of those monster stairs.
I sniggered at her, and we made our way to the staircase.
"Oh wait!" George stopped us. We turned back to him.
"We're throwing a party on Friday night, you guys should come.
"Ugh... I don't know..." Y/n began.
"We'll be there." I confirmed.
Y/n shot me a look.
"Tell me the details later." I told him, before making my way down the stairs Y/n behind me.
"What the hell was that?" She asked me once we were out of the twin's hearing range.
"That was just me getting us into a party that'll probably be great. Thank me later." I grinned.
"I'm not thanking you at all. Party's aren't exactly my... scene." She said.
"Well I can't say the same. But I'm sure you'll be fine. Did you have anything better to do?"
"No." She mumbled.
"Your welcome." I laughed.

~~~~~~~Y/n POV~~~~~~~
The steps took the average 20 minutes to climb, 15 considering it was faster going down. Mattheo and I talked most of the way. Reaching the bottom of the stairs, we looked around, unsure of what to do next. So we agreed to go our seperate ways, I waved goodbye and made my way to my next class. Mattheo however went off to do god knows what. While walking to herbology class, a familiar face stopped me to say hi.
"Hey!" He said sweetly.
"Hi Theo." I replied smiling, now that we were friends, he seemed to be quite a nice guy.
"Whatcha doing?" He asked joining me on my walk.
"I was just hanging out with Mattheo." I told him. Theo seemed to tense at the mention of Mattheo's name.
"You ok?" I asked, noticing his clenched jaw. "So do you like Mattheo or something?" He asked annoyance in his tone.
"No." I laughed, not believing he would actually think that, even if I did it would be a one sided crush, me being a lazy, hopeless romantic and him being a popular, mischievous, rebel of the school. He was way out of my league anyway.
"It just seems like there's totally something going on there." He added.
"Well there's not." I laughed.
"Good." He smirked. "I still have a chance."
"Yeah right, hot shot." I said rolling my eyes and chuckling at his cheesy attempt of flirting. Unfortunately, he's not really my type.
I got to my class, Theo and I said our goodbyes, I thanked him for walking with me, before we broke apart and he left. I sighed, entering the classroom, bracing myself for the boring session ahead of me. Though I could barely focus on the class. All I could think about was the day I had been having, and- I know this may sound very cringe, but- Mattheo too.
