(A/n: I usually don't do authors notes at the beginning of the chapter anymore, but I just needed to state a few things. So, I have shit mental health. Always have, always will, so most of the time when there isn't any updates, just ask me to update. It motivates me and tells me that you actually like the story enough to wanna see more of it. Anyways, onto the first chapter/prologue!)

3rd pov:

It was a cold Autumn morning, the wind blowing as Y/n made her way to school. The world was nearly just black and white, not knowing what her first year at this new school would be like. She didn't talk very much, so as the multitude of students passed her, she kept her head down, in hopes of not attracting any attention. It didn't take her long to bump into someone, however. She fell back, skinning her hands on the concrete sidewalk. "I-I'm so sorry! Are...you alright," a voice she didn't recognize spoke from above her.

Y/n looked up, her dull eyes filling with life for a brief moment. "Oh. It's alright. You didn't mean to," she spoke with a sweet voice. She had learned over time to mimic other's actions, also being able to change the tone in her voice as well as facial expressions on command. She was perfectly fine, just not very expressive.

The girl in front of her looked very different from all of the other people she had encountered. She had dark purple hair that was a mess, purple eyes with a choker around her neck, as well as a red armband around her arm. Y/n stood up, dusting off her skirt as she looked at the other. The girl who stood in front of her bowed her head, trying to hold back tears of embarrassment from bumping into someone in front of so many people. Y/n smiled and held out her hand towards the girl. "Y/n L/n. What about you?"

The girl in front of her raised her head, softly grabbing Y/n's hand. "O-Oka Ruto...It's a pleasure to meet you.."

Y/n smiled, nodding her head as she turned to look at the school. Then, she quickly got an idea. She turned to look at the girl, who she now knew to be Oka, and smiled. "Hey, I'm new here, so would you mind showing me around? If you can't that's alright."

Oka tilted her head a bit before sending the other a soft smile, nodding her head. "Yeah...I can show you around..but I have to stop by my club room first..so you can join me on my walk there if you don't mind..?"

Y/n thought for a moment before nodding. "Sure, that sounds fun!"

Oka nodded and began to walk into the school, but stopped again for a moment. She thought for a moment. 'What if she starts to hate me because of the club I run..?'

Y/n walked up next to her, tilting her head slightly. "Oka? Is everything okay?"

Oka jumped slightly, looking over at the girl she had knocked down just a few minutes prior. "Uhm...well..."

Y/n placed her hand on the other's shoulder, smiling. "It's okay, I wont make fun of you for the club you're in."

Oka looked up with a smile, sort of glad she didn't have to explain anything herself. "A-alright..then follow me.."

Oka led Y/n up to the club room, going inside to talk to a couple of the members. That was the main reason why she had to come into her club room. Y/n looked around the room, very intrigued by the sight of all the books about things she had never even heard about before. Demons, monsters, anything you could think of that would come out of a fairy tale would be in these books. The two people that Oka was talking to looked over at Y/n, tilting their heads. A boy with glasses and the same purple hair decided to speak up. "Oka? Who's that?"

Oka smiled, looking over at Y/n. "Oh...that's Y/n...I accidentally knocked into her this morning and she asked me to show her around...but I had to meet you and Supana here so I just brought her with me.."

Supana gave Y/n a skeptical look. "Are you sure that was a good idea Oka.? She might not be very...nice.."

Y/n's head perked up at that statement. She pouted slightly, walking up to the two. "As a very observant person, and a good listener, I heard that!"

Y/n tried to hold a glare, but she couldn't for some reason, a smile making it's way onto her face. Supana backed up for a moment as Y/n made her way over before letting out a few laughs herself. After they were done, Y/n held her hand out. "Y/n L/n, how about you?"

Supana smiled and grabbed Y/n's hand, nodding. "Supana Churu. A pleasure."

Y/n nodded, looking over at the boy with glasses, who was standing there very awkwardly. Y/n laughed a bit, holding her hand out towards him. "And you are?"

The boy gave a small smile, a little relieved he wasn't completely ignored as he grabbed her hand. "Daku Atsu. Nice to meet you Y/n."

She smiled, nodding before stepping back, now standing next to Oka. Oka looked away, pulling on her fingers as she looked to Supana to ask the question for her. Thankfully for her, Supana understood what she was asking. "Hey Y/n?"

Y/n looked up at her, tilting her head ever so slightly. "Yes?"

Supana smiled, looking back over to Oka for a brief second before looking over to Y/n again. "Oka wants to know if you want to join the Occult Club. That's what this club is, if you couldn't guess."

Y/n thought for a moment, glancing around at a hopeful Supana and a worried Oka. Y/n smiled, shrugging. "If you wouldn't mind having me, then I would love to! I have no experience, but I would love to learn!"

Oka silently cheered to herself, looking up at Supana with a grateful smile on her face. Oka cleared her throat, standing up to act all professional for a brief moment. "Well then Y/n, welcome to the Occult club!"

Y/n could tell that this was a passion, so she laughed for a moment, bowing her head. "Thank you for having me Oka."

Daku cleared his throat with a fake hurt look on his face. "Hey, I'm here too you know!"

A fit of laughter escaped everyone's mouth as the clock ticked down for class to start. Y/n checked the clock, letting out a yelp. "Hey doesn't class start at 8:30!?"

Supana tilted her head, nodding. "Yeah, why?"

Y/n let out a fake cry. "Guys, it's 8:25-"

Daku and Supana ran out of the club room almost immediately, grabbing their bags on the way out. Y/n panicked for a moment, looking at Oka with fake tears in her eyes. "I have no idea where my classroom is!"

Oka smiled a bit. "What class is it?"

Y/n checked her phone, frowning. "Classroom 2-2, can you help me get there?"

Oka smiled and held out her hand. "That's my classroom, so come on, if we run we can make it!"

Y/n smiled and grabbed Oka's hand, quickly getting pulled down the hallway. Y/n smiled to herself. 'Well, today has been eventful, but I think I'm gonna like it here.'
