So, here I was at my school dance waiting for him to show up. It was homecoming, and yet again he was late. I couldn't blame him, he had other things to do. I just wish I wasn't waiting for him to arrive, because the dance only lasted up to three hours and he was an hour late. I stood up and went over to the punch bowl to get something to drink, but I realize some idiots would mess with it, so I avoided it and asked one of the teachers that was working the dance to get a pop/soda. The teacher handed me my favorite pop/soda and I went back to the table I was sitting at. I heard some music that sounded familiar and I stopped right in my place. It was, "That Girl," by NLT the band my date was in before they broke up and he switched to One Call. My date's name was Justin Thorne. He was very special to me because we've been dating for a while. A lot of my friends got jealous, but my true friends supported my relationship and told the others to back off. I turned around and saw Justin walking towards me. I smiled and thought he was the brains behind the change in song. He came over to me and handed me a rose.
Justin-Hey beautiful, sorry I was late, but I thought this song would make up for it.
Lexi-*blushes* Well, maybe, but if you dance with me and make me forget why I'm angry, I might just forgive you. *laughs*
Justin-*smiles* Ok. *walks me over to the table to place the rose and my pop/soda on the table then sweeps me off to the dance floor*
Lexi-*I smile at my friends who were dancing with their guys then I smile back at Justin* From the day I meet you after NLT broke up I knew you were everything I could ask for you. Justin I truly adore you.
Justin-*smiles and kisses my cheek* I adore you too, but I love you more. *kisses me*
Lexi-*kisses back then pulls away* I love you too Justin. Just no more being an hour late for my dates, promise.
Justin-You know I can't promise that, but I can try. Cause you are That Girl, I will cherish forever and never want to loose.
Just as Justin was to say more my principal interrupted us.
Principal-Ok, calm down, I'm here to only announce the Homecoming Queen and Homecoming King.
Some students groaned, others got anxious. I love at Justin and smile at him. I was running, but I wasn't going to have my hopes up if I lost. So when the Principal started opening the envelope I turned to Justin.
Lexi-If I win, I'm dancing with you and not the King, cause you're my King tongiht.
Justin-I don't care if you win, you'll always be my Queen.
Principal-*interrupts us* Ladies and Gentlemen our Homecoming King is...(whomever) and our Homecoming is Lexi (last name). I scream and hug and kissed Justin then accepted my crown and sash then told the principal I'm dancing with my date. After dancing with Justin after winning was great, but I would always remember I was That Girl that Justin loved and no one else.
