"IVY! TIME FOR SCHOOL!"
"Mmmmm" I groaned from under my pillow as I heard my bedroom door fly open.
"Come on kid it's time to get up"
"Go awayyyy" I groaned once more until I felt my blanket get ripped off of me.
"Fuck! Ok I'm up I'm up!" I said crawling out of bed as Duff smiled at me. Yeah you read that right, and you might be asking yourself why he is the one who woke me up. Well truth is, I live with my Uncle most of the time, ok well more like permanently since my mom dipped out a couple years ago and I just didn't like my dad. When it came to the courts they asked me where I wanted to live and I said with my Uncle Duff. Since I was old enough to make that decision in the eyes of the court system, they allowed it. Was my dad disappointed? Of course. Was he upset with Duff? A little, but living with my uncle actually helped begin to repair my broken relationship with my father so that softened the blow for him.

"Is Axl picking me up today?" I asked him as I sat in the kitchen eating breakfast.
"You know you can call him dad right? It's not like he's a stranger you've known him all your life" he replied looking at me.
"Yeah I know I can, but sometimes I just don't feel like it. Why should I refer to anyone as a parent when they have been in and out of my life my mother included" I said shrugging my shoulders as I carried my cereal bowl to the sink. He just sighed
"Ivy, your dad is still your dad no matter how much he has fucked up, and trust me he knows he has. But you have to try and understand the shit he was going through, what the whole family was going through. You need to give him a chance." He said to me leaning against the counter. I rolled my eyes at him.
"Yeah I guess...so is my dad picking me up or not?"
"See! That wasn't so hard! Yeah he is he should be there when you're out, 2:30 right?"
"Uncle Duff you've known my school schedule for the last 3 years. Stop asking me that" I said as I walked to put my shoes on.
"Wait....you're going to school like that?" He asked motioned towards my outfit.
"Duff, it's just a pair of shorts and a shirt..."
"More like a pair of ass cutters, go change them." I just roll my eyes and run back up stairs taking off my black torn Levi shorts and putting on my high waisted blue denim ones that were just a little longer. And by a little longer I meant that my ass cheeks weren't hanging out in these like the last ones.
"Better?" I asked as i came back down the stairs.
"Much better, but your hair is messed up"
"Where?" I asked right as he ruffled my hair actually messing it up.
"Dude really?!" I said looking in the mirror now having to fix it. My medium brown hair was half way down my back and my hazel green eyes sparkled with what little happiness I had left in me. My concealer covering the bags under my eyes from the sleepless nights, my winged brown eyeliner with black mascara on my long lashes that could pass as fake made me feel somewhat human as I left my freckles across my nose exposed and added a nude matte lipstick bringing my life to my face.
"Nose ring is crooked" Duff mentioned as he walked behind me. He was right my hoop was a little off so I adjusted it before slipping back into my vans.

"Alright I'm leaving now" I said heading for the door.
"See ya! Have a good day!" Was what I heard before closing the front door and walking down the street to my school.
15 minutes of peaceful silence. I grab a cigarette and my lighter to smoke while on the way to school. As cars pass I hear nothing but honking and whistling.
"Hey Ivy, you need a ride?" I look over and see my friend Robbie. I smiled a little
"No thanks, I could use a walk. Plus if I get in the car with you we will end up skipping" I said laughing. Robbie and I always skipped school. We were good friends and have been for a few years. You see when my mom and dad split, my mom hooked up on and off with Tommy Lee from Motley Crue, Robbie is his son. But my mother thought getting strung out and running from her problems would solve everything when it didn't.
"Just get in, I swear we'll go to school today" I rolled my eyes
"Fine, but I'm not putting this out" I said getting in with my lit cigarette.
"I don't care, you have a shoot today?" He asked me. I got into modeling about a year ago after I begged my uncle to let me try it for 6 months, he finally caved after him my dad and I came to an agreement. As long as I kept my grades up I could model. Within a year my face was almost everywhere. Posters, magazines, clothing boutiques, all over the place. It was a little over whelming but I got used to it.
"Yeah, my dad is supposed to take me" I replied
"Oh wow he's picking you up today?" He asked
"Yeah it should be interesting...." We pulled up to the school and got out walking to the front door.

"Bitch" I hear behind me as I'm at my locker. I roll my eyes and turn around to see Emily Lee and her.. posse? I guess, if you would call it that.

"Fuck off Emily" I said closing my locker door. God why did she have to be such a bitch unlike her brother. Weird how I would get along with one and not the other.

"Make me bitch" she said as she shoved me. I rolled my eyes at her and shoved her back throwing her off balance. She swung and missed as I tackled her to the ground punching her in the nose until one of her friends pulled me off while everyone crowded around chanting 'fight' at the top of their lungs.

"Ivy Rose to the principles office" I heard repeatedly over the intercom. I sighed and shrugged off the other teenage girl who was holding my shoulder before I began walking down the hall. I sat back in the chair of the office fiddling around on my phone as my Uncle walked in.
"What the fuck happened! You haven't even been here for 2 hours and I'm getting a.."
"Well look what the cat drug in!" I said cutting off Duff while leaning back and smiling as Emily walked in with a rag to her nose that was bleeding. My uncle just rolled his eyes and put his hands in the air.
"Really?! Out of all the people to fight you had to fight Tommy's daughter?" He asked sitting down next to me.
"What? She started it first" I replied to him as her dad walked in.
"Excuse me I didn't start shit" she replied standing back up.
"Are you fucking kidding me? Has the bleach gone to your brain or are you that fucking stupid" I said standing back up following her lead.
"You broke my nose!"
"Not my fault you swung and missed! Don't shove someone first and try to hit them if you can't fight"
"Bitch I can fight" she said trying to act tough
"Then fucking prove it" I said getting back in her face as Duff and Tommy pulled us apart from one another then walking into the principals office while the secretary kept an eye of the both of us.

I looked up from my phone as I hear them walking out talking.
"Let's go..." my uncle said standing in front of me.
As we were walking behind Tommy and Emily I overheard Tommy scolding her for trying to fight, out of all people, me in school.
I giggled a little as I heard him call her an idiot while taking her to the car.
"I don't know what's so funny, you're suspended for a month" said Duff as we got in the car.
"And you get to tell your father what happened when he picks you up from the shoot" I look over at him surprised
"I still get to work today? Sweet!" I said giving him a hug.
"Only because you've been booked all week and I can't cancel them last minute but you're also grounded"
"Oh come on! She fucking started it!"
"It doesn't matter Ivy, you should have just walked away"  I didn't even respond, I just leaned my head against the window looking at the shitty view of Hollywood till we got to the studio.

"Your father will be here in 3 hours, please behave" I just roll my eyes and close the door so I can walk into the building. This was gonna be a long fucking month.
