"Yet another high school girl from Haruki High School in Takayama, Japan, is now missing.

Tanaka Hina who attends Haruki High School was last seen by her classmates Monday the third march this year. She was seen leaving the school by her friends at 3:30 pm and after that no one saw or heard from her.

She has now been missing for a month."

-Ahh that's so creepy!

-I know right! This is the fifth girl that goes missing in only six months, it's crazy!

-The police say that they suspect kidnapping and that all the missing girls are linked in some way!

-Oh my god!

Masami just walked through the door entering her classroom when she overheard the two girls talking about the incident written in every newspaper. She ignored it though and walked towards her desk.

-Isn't Tanaka-san in our class?! One of the girls asked the other one.

-No, she's in class 3-2! The other girl answered.

-Masami-chan! A voice shouted through out the classroom.

Masami raised her head and in confusion looked around to see who shouted her name.

-Ah, Yui-chan! Masami answered and waved at Yui.

-After school today you are going with me to the mall! Yui said and took a seat next to Masami.

-After school... today? Masami mumbled. Ah, sorry but I can't today.

-Awee why?

-I have to study for the English test that's coming up.

That was just a lie Masami came up with. Yui was her best and only friend and had been for nearly three years now. Masami really liked Yui, even though their energy didn't really match up perfectly every time, and today was one of those days. Masami just didn't feel like socializing today at all. She just wanted to go home, make herself dinner and a bento for tomorrows lunch and then just go to bed. That's all she wanted to do today.

-I see, Yui said and put her finger on her chin. It's totally okay though! No worries.

Masami tried smiling because she wasn't sure what to answer. She didn't feel bad about lying to her best friend. What Yui didn't know didn't hurt her. Yui being an extreme cry baby, this was the best option Masami could choose.

The day went on as normal for everyone. But the fear of another girl getting potentially kidnapped still haunted everyone at the school. Not only the school was worried but the whole town and nation was. A fifth girl was now missing, potentially kidnapped, in only six months. The other four girls have not yet been found and police have no evidence to say that they're alive or deceased. Their friends and family are all grieving, waiting and hoping for them to turn up alive and well.

-Well then I'll see you tomorrow morning instead, Masami-chan! Yui said while grabbing Masami's shoulder, looking at her with her usual big smile.

-Yeah I'll see you tomorrow, Masami replied.

Before Yui walked out of the big entrance to the school she smiled one last time, waved and went off, leaving Masami completely full of calm. This was a good decision she thought. Lying was the right thing to do. Now she could go home and rest, preparing for yet another day tomorrow.
