One wish

If I had only one wish

I would make my imagination a reality.

I would be limited only to my ability to create.

I could make everyone bow down to me,

Or I could even give myself a clean slate.

 

But that seems a little bit selfish.

I could change the Earth,

End starvation, war and hate.

Show everyone what they are worth

And give starving children a full plate.

 

I could even take it further.

I could bring loved ones back from the grave.

I could make someone live forever.

I could bring back those that we couldn't save.

You wouldn’t have to shed a tear, ever.

 

This is all good or great.

The power to chose,

The power to create.

 

But my wish is best left unheard,

The human desire to be selfish

Well, its quite absurd

 

If you truly want to save the world.

Save your wish, leave it unheard.

Get off your couch and go outside.

 

Pick up some trash,

Don’t toss it aside.

 

World change can’t be started by a wish on a star.

It can only be started with a wish in your heart.
