The next morning Daryl and I decided to go hunting, when we saw a prison in the distance we ran back to tell dad.
"Show me," he said then we took dad there, we had just enough gas to get all the vehicles there, "we can clear out the yard tonight and then tomorrow we go inside," dad said. Mom was to big to do much good with anything other then shoot, "I'll run in and close the gate. Lori, Carl, and Hershel stay here and shoot, Beth you stay back with Dylan. Maggie and Glenn take that guard tower. Daryl, Carol, and Jamie take that one," dad made it in and closed the gate, then climbed the other tower. We had the yard cleared out in no time. After we had it all cleared Daryl hugged Carol and then hugged and kissed me.
It was dark by the time we all sat down and had the fire started. Daryl was on the over turned bus with Carol rubbing her shoulder, the rest of us, beside dad, was sitting around the fire. I was holding Dylan and talking to mom and Hershel, "you'd think if there was a breech or weak spot he'd found it by now, that's the third time he's been around," Hershel said.
"He's got a lot on his mind right now. His best friend tried to kill him for his daughter and his wife, the baby can be here at any moment which will make 2 baby's that have to be fed and we're running low on formula as is," I said and mom looked at me.
Daryl, Carol, and dad all came over to the group at the same time. Dad took one bite of his food and handed it to mom, "I already ate my share. You need to eat too," mom said. Dad just shoved the bowl closer to here, "thank you," she said taking it.
I took 2 small bites of mine and handed it to dad, "here, I'm full. Eat this."
"No, you're not. You need to eat," dad refused.
"As do you! I ate earlier when I know for a fact that you didn't, besides, I need to feed little man," I smiled. He knew I wouldn't drop it, so he took the bowl and ate it. Beth started to sing as I fed Dylan, when he was done and burped, Daryl and I laid back with Dylan wrapped in a blanket between us, and we fell asleep as Beth and Maggie sang.
That next morning I woke up to no Daryl, he was already on watch. I grabbed Dylan, who was still sleeping, and walked up the hill toward him, "morning," I kissed his neck, mainly since it was the only thing I was tall enough to reach.
"Morning," he said and squeezed my hand. He looked down at me, took Dylan from me and kissed his forehead, then me.
When the others got up dad said, "it's time to clear the area. Daryl, Maggie, Glenn, T, Jamie, and I will go in."
We had it cleared out in no time. We went inside and cleared out cell block C, then we brought the other's inside. Dad decided to take Daryl, Hershel, Maggie, and Glenn to clear the rest.
"Be careful, dad," I said.
"I will. You should go talk to Daryl he seems pretty weary about leaving you and Dylan," dad said with a small smile on his face.
"Alright," I smiled and hugged him, then turned to find Daryl, "Daryl?" I called out.
"Yeah?" He called out.
