"The pain of betrayal from the ones close to you stings the most"

I am sitting on the windowsill staring outside at the beauty nature has to offer, but my mind was lost inthoughts far away from nature.

The blanket of sadness has wrapped me but instead of warmth its just chilling me to the bones. It has been few days since that incident. Since i saw Andrew for the last time.

I really don't know what to do and i have no idea how will i face my sister without thinking about the betrayal.
Then my eyes  fell on the setting sun, it was spreading its orange wings in the blue sky marking the end of the day.
'Life can never be a straight line its always full of ups and downs and they make it worth living. The day the line straightens is the day you enter your grave!' I thought to myself.

"Why are you sitting there?? You will fall down!!" I heard a familiar voice and when i turned my face to right I saw Evelyn standing infront of me. I sighed and walked towards the sofa and sat on it. Evelyn walked towards me and sat beside me.

"What are you doing with your life?" She asks in disappointment
"What do you mean by that?" I said acting to be clueless.
"Thea it has been almost 1 week since you stepped out of this house " she said. I rolled my eyes i have no interest in listening to her lecture.

"I know what you're going through but you have to move on " she said and i can see sympathy in her eyes.
"Don't act like you know what i am going through because you don't!!" I snapped at her. She was taken aback by my words.

Shit!! I shouldn't have shouted on her.

"I am sorry about it" i said apologetically.
"It's ok i know that you're in a bad mood " she said with a smile.

"And yes i know how it feels when the only person you love in this world hurts you " she said and i can see sadness and hurt in her eyes but the question is how??

"Are you hiding something from me?" I asked. She nodded her head.
"Years ago someone whom i trusted so much broke my trust " she said with tears in her eyes.
"What?? Why didn't you told me about it " i asked confusedly

"Because time wasn't right. Your own life was so messed up." She said.
"Then tell me now " i said. I can't believe my sister has hidden something like this from me.

"Did you saw any changes when i came back from college?" She asks
I did saw many changes in her but i always thought that she has become more Mature and responsible that's why those changes are there.

"I did saw some changes you like in high school you used to believe in true love and all those fairytales love story and later on you stopped believing in true love. Infact you started flirting with random guys and one night stand and all" i said.
"You're right i used to believe in true love" she said sadly
"Used to?" I asked her

"I used believe in true love but later on i realized that true love is only found in novel. In reality there is no true love and to realise this i had to pay a big price" she said.
What happened in past that changed Evelyn so much?

"Ok so it all started when i went to college. I got admission in my dream college and i was so happy about it " she said with a smile on her face. I rested of chin on my folding hand.

"You know when i started college i changed myself totally. I wanted to be more responsible and mature so that i can make mom proud. I became a total nerd" she said. I can't help but laugh on her words. I can't imagine the care free Evelyn as nerd.

"It's not funny " she said with a pout.
"Ok i am sorry " i said finally able control my laughter.

"I was nerd of my college and students used to tease me but i really don't care about it because i wanted to focus on my career " she said.
"How can someone bully don't they know that you're Paulsen's family eldest daughter " i said angrily.
"No they didn't knew about it because i wanted to have a normal college life" she said. Ohh!!! no wonder they bullied her.
