"I'm a lesbian," I said to one of my best friends since childhood, Jisoo.

"I knew it," she said.

"How?" I asked.

"I just had this feeling, it's about time you came out."

"You can't tell anybody, not even Jennie," I said.

"She's our best friend though," she said.

"I know, but I just can't tell her yet," I said.

"You have my word."

Jennie is a gorgeous brunette. We took her under our wings when high school started and she was the new girl, we've all been best friends ever since.

It was the first day of our senior year. The only class we had together was lunch and we all sat together.

"Kim Taehyung asked me to homecoming in first period," said Jennie.

My stomach dropped, "what happened to all of us going together?"

"We can still go together," she said.

"I don't have a date and neither does Jisoo," I said.

"Well at least we have each other," said Jisoo.

"Yeah, you're right, it'll still be fun," I said, trying to be optimistic.

The next day, I walked over to Jisoo's locker and saw her holding a bouquet of roses.

"What's that?" I asked.

"Oh, Jungkook asked me to homecoming," she said.

"Great, now I'm the only one without a date."

"Wait, I can find you someone," said Jennie.

"Like who?"

"I have lots of cute boys in my first period, I'm sure there's one that wouldn't mind going with you," she said.

Oh, a boy. This'll be fun.

After getting into the swing of things with my new schedule, we went to the homecoming game.

We watched as the teams threw around the football until our school eventually won!

After the game, Taehyung came up to us.

"Good job, babe!" Jennie squealed and gave him a kiss.

"Thanks babe," he said.

"Guys, this is my new boyfriend, Taehyung," she said.

We waved awkwardly.

"Nice to meet you two, Jennie talks a lot about you," he said.

"Good things, I hope," Jisoo chimed in.

"Oh for sure," he said, "I better get going, can't wait to see you tomorrow."

He walked away and Jennie turned to me.

"Don't worry, I got you a date," she said, "he's one of Taehyung's friends, you'll like him, I think he's your type."

"Great, can't wait," I said sarcastically.

"Awesome!" she said, not picking up on my sarcasm.

I'm already over homecoming and it hasn't even happened yet.
