Chapter 2: Student-Teacher Conference

"That dream could have a hidden message in it." Dex continued to ask himself questions about the dream that he had while he was traveling to school. Dex was really pre-occupied with all these questions in his head.

As he got to school, he immediately went to his locker and got his apparatuses and his T-Square for his class.

All of the sudden, Tristan, Dex's best friend, approached him and asked, "Hey Dex you look a little problematic, what seems to be the problem my friend?"

"Nothing really, I just had this weird dream last night." Dex answered.

"What was that dream all about Dex?" Tristan asked.

"I was suddenly transported to a beach then suddenly a beautiful girl wearing only her bikini approached me and said, 'I am the one who brought you closer to Christ'" Dex answered.

"That seems to be the weirdest dream I have ever heard, but as they say, dreams are God's way of telling us something that we have to follow or a warning that he has given us." Tristan said.

"Maybe you're right Tris, maybe it's just a message or something." Dex replied.

"Ok, so enough with the dilly dallying, let's get a move on, class is about to start." Tristan replied.

Without hesitations, Tristan and Dex immediately went to their first class for the day.

During their Color Rendering subject, Jasmine, Dex's seat mate, looked at Dex and asked him in a whispering manner, "Hey Dex, you look like you're not in the mood today, what's wrong?"

"It's nothing Jas, I'm alright, it's just that I had the most strangest dream last night?" Dex answered.

"What was your dream all about, Dex?" Jasmine asked.

"Well......." Dex said then suddenly, Mr. Asato, their color rendering teacher, interrupted their little conversation and said, "Mr. Johnson and Ms. Williams, care to share to the entire class what the both of you were talking about?"

"Uhmmm... She was asking about the dream that I had last night, it's really bothering me though." Dex answered.

"Is that so? Well then, talk to me after our color rendering class." Mr. Asato said.

Dex then said nothing after that.

After color rendering class, Dex then approached Mr. Asato.

"Is there anything that you would like to talk about Mr. Asato?" Dex asked.

"I'm not going to scold you for talking in my class earlier, but I'm just curious, was your dream involving a girl that told you something?" Mr. Asato asked.

Shocked, Dex replied, "How did you know about that Mr. Asato?"

"While I was doing my Bible reading earlier, God revealed to me something, that someone in my class had a weird dream." Mr. Asato replied.

"Hold on sir, I'm still confused, how did you know about my dream?" Dex replied.

"Let's just say that God spoke to me." Mr. Asato replied.

"Well can you interrpret the dream that I had?" Dex replied.

"First tell me the exact detail of the dream that you had." Mr. Asato asked.

"Well all I remembered was I was lying on my bed, then all of the sudden I was transported to a beach, half-naked, then all of the sudden a girl approached me. I asked who she was but she answered, 'I am the one who brought you closer to Christ.'" Dex explained.

"All I can say that you will soon find peace and harmony and have your life centered on Christ. The girl is only God's instrument to let you know the Word of The Lord." Mr. Asato said.

"I never thought about it that way, so what else can you say about my dream Mr. Asato?" Dex asked.

"That you will meet this girl sometime in your life. Maybe not now but someday, you will meet her." Mr. Asato said.

"Thank you very much Mr. Asato, I feel enlightened with what you have said." Dex said.

"My pleasure, if you had another dream, please tell me immediately, I'm here to help." Mr. Asato replied.

"Thank you sir." Dex replied.

Then Dex went off and went to his next class.

Dex was really enlightened with what Mr. Asato said to him. But still the question remains in Dex's mind, "Who was that girl."
