Annabeth Chase was a nervous wreck. Now, this was unheard of and either meant that the world was about to end, or it was something to do with Percy Jackson, the love of her life. Fortunately for everyone, it was the latter. It was her wedding day, and Annabeth was pacing a hole into the rug of the beach cabin while her five bridesmaids (Juniper Underwood, Piper McLean, Hazel Levesque, Calypso and Rachel Dare) and maid of honour (Thalia Grace) were trying-and failing-to get her to stop. At last, Thalia managed to trip Annabeth and she landed with an 'Umph' on the floor. The five girls crowded around Annabeth's face.
"You need to calm down Annabeth!" Juniper said. Annabeth abruptly sat up and huffed at them.
"You can't tell me to calm down, June! Why don't you try to get married a month after a war?" Juniper raised an eyebrow at her friend's hysterics.
"I did, Annabeth. To Grover after the Titan War, remember?" Annabeth opened her mouth to defend herself, but Juniper was right. Luckily, Piper broke in.
"It doesn't matter right now," She said softly, guiding Annabeth to the vanity. "What matters is that you are calm, and that you look your best for when you marry the love of your life and make Percabeth canon!" Piper let out a squeal at the end and everyone stared at her weirdly. She cleared her throat. "Never mind, just relax and we'll make you look stunning." She assured Annabeth and she instantly relaxed in her seat; there was nothing a little charmspeak couldn't fix. And so Juniper, Piper and Rachel began to prepare her for the wedding while Hazel, Calypso and Thalia (already dressed in teal bridesmaid gowns) checked the decorations.
Meanwhile at the altar, Percy Jackson was panicking up a storm. Literally. The Son of Poseidon was so nervous the ocean behind him roared with massive waves threatening to crash onto their ceremony any second. His groomsmen (Leo Valdez, Jason Grace, Frank Zhang and Nico Di Angelo) and his best man (Grover Underwood) tried to get his emotions under control by reminiscing on their past adventures, but it wasn't working at all. At last, Thalia arrived.
"Jackson!" She yelled, her eyes flashing dangerously. "You will not ruin the ceremony that I oh-so-kindly made for your idiotic butt!" Percy's attention went to her for a second, but when she mentioned the word 'ceremony', the waves grew. It was then Thalia knew that she had to get violent. So she punched him in the face. Percy fell to the ground with a groan and the rest of the guys facepalmed.
"Thals, you can't just give the groom a black eye!" Jason exclaimed.
"But I can give you one," His sister growled threateningly. Jason put up his hands in surrender and stepped back. Percy stood up and the ocean dropped to a calm ripple. Everyone sighed in relief.
"Thanks Thalia," He said, massaging his jaw. "Let's get this started." Thalia nodded and disappeared behind a curtain where the rest of the girls were already waiting.
Nico snapped his fingers and a skeleton started playing the Wedding March. The guests (gods, campers, hunters, and a select few mortals) rose from their seats just as Juniper led the bridesmaids down the aisle. Finally, Annabeth appeared in a stunning, sequined sheath dress, her arm in her father's. Percy's jaw hit the floor when he saw his almost wife, and his heart swelled when he took her to stand in front of their old mentor, Chiron, who would unite them as husband and wife. Percy wasn't listening to anything until it was his turn to say his vow, too enraptured in Annabeth's beauty. "Percy, your vow." He cleared his throat.
"Annabeth, I have loved you ever since you told me I drooled in my sleep." The guests laughed. "We have been through so much together, schist, we went through hell together! My point is, I'm never going to let you go. Not until the day I am erased from existence." He looked into his lover's stormy eyes with sheer determination and tucked her matching grey streak of hair behind her ear. "As long as we're together," A lone tear fell from her eyes, and Percy wiped it away, giving her a lopsided grin. She laughed. They were handed the rings.
"Do you, Annabeth Chase, take Percy Jackson as your lawfully wedded husband?" Annabeth nodded.
"I do,"
"And do you, Percy Jackson, take Annabeth Chase as your lawfully wedded wife?" Percy looked intently into Annabeth's eyes.
"I do," Chiron smiled.
"Then you may kiss the bride," Percy wasted no time in dipping his wife and placing his lips on hers. The crowd cheered and Percy smiled into the kiss. This was a moment he could live in forever.
