Chapter Six.
Niall’s POV
What have I gotten myself into? This girl. I don’t even know her last name. She could be a prostitute for all I know. She could just be another one of those people, the kind who will take all my money and leave me in the dust.
I paced around my room in deep thought, I was interrupted by my phone ringing. Crap. It was Joe.
“Niall, after todays incident on behalf of the restaurant, YOUR FIRED.” Screaming into the phone. Before I could say a word he ended the phone call. Now I have no job. Just great. I climbed into my queen-sized bed, pulling my flower-patterned covers over me and curling up into a ball. I stared at the ceiling for who knows how long thinking and planning out what I should do with my life. I slowly drifted of to sleep. The picture of Johanna centered in my thoughts. I have to stay. Not just for my self but for Johanna.
I woke up to the sun shining right in my face. I glanced at my phone, it was 9:30 a.m. I had 30 minutes to get dressed and meet Johanna by the park. I quickly jumped out of my bed and opened my closest. I choose navy jeans, a white polo, and a red jumper. I put on my black converse, grabbed my keys and stepped out the door. The cold air rushed to my face. I locked my door and stepped out onto the pavement.
Standing in the bus line a strange girl came up to me. She looked about my age. Dark brown curls hanging down her back.
“Where you the boy who punched Harry yesterday?” she said looking deep into my eyes.
“Uh yes I was. Why do you ask?” I questioned. Suddenly I felt a stinging pain in my cheek. That girl had just slapped me. I glanced over ready to yell at the girl but she had disappeared.
What the hell was that for! I thought as I climbed onto the bus. I grabbed the nearest empty seat. Luckily for me there was one just by the front of the bus. As I sat down I felt a crunch underneath where I sat. It was a folded up paper with the name Harry scribbled across. I quickly dropped the paper like it was a poisonious snake. That horrible name floated through my mind. The way his green eyes glared into mine like he wanted to kill me. I shuttered at the thought.
The bus pulled into the park’s station. It was 9:55. I had five minutes to run across the road and arrive at the park wall. I quickly ran of the bus as the door opened, barging pass all the people waiting in line. Pushing through the crowds I finally arrived at the wall just in time. I looked for Johanna everywhere. I couldn’t find her anywhere. Great, she was just like all the others. She had just left me.
I was about to walk back to the station when I felt a tap on my shoulder.
“Niall?” was the little voice I heard. I turned around to be greeted my Johannas welcoming gaze. She was wearing black leggings, grey leg warmers, a matching pair of red gloves, a red hat, brown uggs, and a grey parker on top. I could slightly see that she way wearing a denim top underneath. A big grin grew across my face as she wrapped her arms around my neck.
“I thought you weren’t coming.” I whispered into her ear. She looked into my eyes.
“Niall I wouldn’t miss this for the world.” She said a big grin on her face. I slowly leaned in kissing her gently. A grumble in my stomach reminded me that I haven’t eaten breakfast. I broke out of the kiss, leaving a questioning look on her face.
“I haven’t eaten any food to day and that Johanna is a crime.” I said with a very stern expression on my face. I looked back to see Johanna sitting on the wall holding her stomach as she cracked up. I grabbed Johanna, placed her on my back and took of in the direction towards food.
“Go faster horse.” She demanded a big smile on her face. I started sprinting at full speed. I could see many people giving us strange looks but I didn’t care at all. I was having the time of my life. We stopped at a small bakery. I let Johanna down from my back and opened the door, the warm air blasting onto our faces. I quickly ran up to the waitress asking for a table for two. We were guided toward the table with a window over looking the train tracks. I glanced around the room, stopping as I saw a familiar set of green eyes. It was Harry.
I leaned in whispering into Johannas ear.
"Its the boy." i quietly said. Nodding my head in his direction. She looked over her eyes widened as she saw his face.
"What do we do Niall" she quietly screamed in my ear. "We do nothing. Just act like you didn't see him" I said looking into my menu. I chose a muffin with a cup of tea. I could see Johanna had no idea what to order. I wondered if she's from around here. She has a faint british accent so i figured she was from around here somewhere.
"Are you ready to order your meal sir?" the waitres said. Her bright red note book in her hand as she tapped her black pen on the table. "Yes i would like a muffin and a cup of tea please." As the waitress wrote down my order i saw a stren expression grow across Johanna's face as she gazed out the window in to the crowd of people. "Whats wrong love?" I asked getting a little concerned. She turned to face me, tears lining her eyes. "Uh.. I would like a coffee pl..l..e..a..." she said stuttering as the front door to the cafe opened. I looked over too see who was at the door but i couldnt make out the face. I looked back over to Johanna only to find a empty seat and a note saying
'Niall i am truely sorry to end out date like this. I will be leavin tomorrow so i guess this is farewell. It was lovely meeting you. Xxx- Johanna'
Not again.
