When we went inside and told everyone I said yes, Merle didn't seem to happy, "I can't believe you're going to marry someone you've only been with for a little over a year," he said.

"I love her, that's all that matters to me," Daryl said.

"Well, she seems like a pretty good girl," he laughed.

"She's a good woman, mother, daughter, sister, just great all around," Daryl smiled at me and I smiled back.

While everyone was discussing what to do about this Governor business, Maggie and I snuck off to find rings for the guys. We found 2 male walkers right next to each other. We cut the fingers and shoved the rings in our pockets. We had the 'weddings' the next day at the same time. Hershel was our preacher, we exchanged vows, then Maggie and I smiled to each other and pulled the rings out.

"I don't need a ring, I just need people to know you're mine! As long as I have you, I don't care," Daryl smiled and kissed me.

"It's up to you if you wear it, as long as other women know you're mine...then I don't care," I smiled and kissed him again.

"No doubt that every women will know I'm yours," he smiled.

Everyone left and Carol pulled me aside, "I'm so glad you 2 are finally final. Merle doesn't seem to happy though," she said and hugged me.

"Merle will get over it I'm sure. We've both put our input in on him," I said.

Daryl walked over, "hey," he said.

                           "Hey," Carol and I said.

                            "What's going on?"

"I guess Merle isn't happy about us," I answered.

"Not really, but I have you anyway," he smiled.

"Awe," I smiled and kissed him. Carol was smiling at us.

                        "What?" Daryl asked.

"I'm so proud of you. I look to you as a son. You're the son I never had. I love you both so much!" She said through tears.

"Hey, no tears," I said and hugged her. Daryl put his arms around us both and we laughed.

                                  *COUPLE DAYS LATER*

Merle eventually got over it, told me, "you're part of the family now, buttercup. Get over here!"

"About time you dickhead!" We both laughed as we hugged.
