Chapter 9

*Haru's POV*

I'm just standing beside Riko, as she intruct them abouth the game, while all of them are changing into their jerseys

I watched as Yuki slipped off her jersey pants and black shirt, leaving her with only her black spandex shorts and black sports bra, still with a serious face

She then slipped on her jersey shorts, then her top jersey with No. 24 on the back and front, under the 'Seirin" name

After tucking her top in, she pulled out a black wristband and slipped it in her right wrist

'That wristband with 'Imperial Duo' embroidered on it'

She retied her shoelaces again, before finally pulling out her gym towels and then she closed her locker door

"For our first five lineup; Hyuga, Izuki, Kagami, Kuroko, and Yuki. Any objections?" Riko stated, as we wander our sight around, waiting for objections, but no one did. "Yuki, what position are you going to play?"

"I'll be the Power Forward" she quickly replied without any emotion, as she went to borrow Riko's game planner

"Power Forward? So you'll jump for the tip-off?" Riko asked still unsure, but Yuki sat on the bench in the center of the room, as we gather around her, as she started to draw in the planner

"No. Taiga will jump for the tip-off, while I'll stay behind as the center. Granted if he gets the ball or not, I'll switch him as the Power Forward. But before that, I'm certain No.8 and Taiga will jump for the tip-off. Tetsuya and Captain, guard behind No.5. Izuki, mark No.4, and I'll guard near No.6 and 10. When No.8 gets the ball, I'm certain that No.4 will handle it. So Taiga, switch to center, because I'm certain No.8 will push forward, so you mark him. Izuki, switch your mark to No.6. Then Captain, don't let No.5 past your defense. I will then handle No. 10. Kuroko, steal the ball from No.4 and dribble towards the opponent's hoop. If No.4 catched up with you, which I'm certain with, just bounce the ball behind"

"What the..." I accidentally mumbled out loud, after hearing Yuki's strategized plan

"Any problem, Haruka?" she asked that surprised me and made me nervous at the same time

"Nothing" I simply replied and just listened to them

"Y-yuki, this is so detailed. I mean-- what if it goes wrong?" Riko asked still unsure

Even for me, it seems to be a perfect plan. It's so perfect that it seems surreal, and it makes us nervous that we don't know if it would really turn out like this

But Yuki's next words held up frozen

"If this goes wrong, then I'll quit the basketball"

*Riko's POV*

Ever since I became Seirin's basketball coach, I've never felt this nervous and scared before

Even before the game start, here, on our hands, is a detailed plan to show them our strength. But...

'Why am I so nervous?'

Maybe because, there's still a possibility that it can go wrong. But at the same time, I wanted to trust Yuki's predictions

'Is this how she really plan? How can she strategize such perfect plan in just a couple of minutes?'

"I know this is a big risk, but if this goes wrong, then I'll also quit basketball" I snapped out of my though when I heard Kuroko's words

'For the two of them who really loves and dedicates to basketball, betting their own happiness must mean that they really trust this plan'
