I CHOSE to wear the hijab. I CHOSE to cover my self. I CHOSE modesty. I know that some families force their daughters to wear the hijab or to cover her self, but not ALL muslim families do that. In fact from all my hijabi friends (and trust me I have alot) None of them are forced to wear the hijab or to cover themselves. In fact if you tell them to take it off they will feel rather offended cuz its THEIR CHOICE. You don't see me walking around New York asking people to take their pants off, why? Cuz it was their choice to wear pants, just like it was my choice to wear the hijab. And what really aggrivated me is that people seem to judge me when I'm wearing it. It's hard to find a job and its hard to find people's approval. I've seen people that are fully tatted, like their whole body is filled with tattoos and they dont feel very happy if someone didnt treat them right or that they didnt get a job because of it, yet.... they seem to be doing the same to us hijabis. Now I'm not saying all, i'm not even saying most of them, I'm just talking in general. If you dont like people to mistreat u for your choices of what you put on your body then dont mistreat others on what they have on their body.

I'm a proud feminist, I believe that women should have the same things as men if the same ability is there. Like pay, jobs and so on. But I'm not an extremist. I've seen a female wanting to rip the thing off my head and saying "DONT LET MEN CONTROL YOU BE FREE" like damn girl with what your saying its like you want to control me. I chose to limit what I show, and I AM free. I AM happy wearing it and it shouldn't be anyone's business.
