(An hour later) "It's time to enter the auditorium. All 8th graders please go immediately...." The PA said. "Yay!!! It's time!!" Emma said, then held our (me and Cara's) hand. "Yeah. I can't believe we're graduating from Locita middle school." I said calmly. "It was like yesterday since I met you two!" Cara added. "Well, waste no more time! We're going to the auditorium!!" Emma said, then ran ahead while me and Cara walked.
(In the auditorium, waiting for the principal to speak.) "Good morning, everybody. Welcome to Locita middle school's graduation ceremony. We are very fortunate to have such great students graduate from this school to another.... Blah blah....." The principal said as I move my attention from her and tries to focus on something else.. I looked around. I saw my mom, all the other parents and smaller siblings.... Just then I caught a glimpse at a boy. A boy that is about our age.. "What? What's he doing here? I thought he has his graduation ceremony to attend to.. Every middle school does that.." I wondered. "... You have a great summer. Next is announcing which high school that you'll attend, middle schoolers." When I heard that, I turn my attention back to the principal and ignored that boy I just saw. " Susan Lee... Clover High school... Emma Johnson... Vicksburg high school... Gemma Arter.... Vicksburg high school... Cara Sandyman.... Vicksburg high school.. Carter.." "Yes!" Cara whispered. "Omg!! Yay!!" Emma whisper- shouted.. "We're in the same high school. Wow!" I said. "Yay! BFFs forever!!" Emma whisper-shouted again. I smiled, then went back to that boy, but he was long gone....
