Winter and Summer. Hot and Cold. Up and Down. Left and Right. Good and Bad. Heaven and Hell. North and South. Fire and Water. This isn't a love story; no not at all. This is a story about love. But everything has its limit - even love.
Her name is Riley. She's the most beautiful girl you will ever meet - that is if you ask everyone but her. If you were to look at it in her perspective, you will come to see that she is insecure and has these walls built up so high it's nearly impossible to tear down, she's the girl that has been hurt one too many times; she believes that her step-sister Taylor Jensen is the most beautiful girl on the face of the Earth, when in reality, she looks a million times better than her. She's no ordinary girl; she enjoys reading about love that is just far too good to true. In her mind, love is mythical. It doesn't exist and if she feels as though she's falling she has to abruptly awaken herself and come back to reality. She loves to wear her combat boots, slightly ripped skinny jeans and oversized shirts that tend to make her already amazingly sculpted body look better. She's the good girl that never gets in trouble, she's the one that everyone loves and yet choose to ignore, she's the smartest girl in every class. She's Riley Jensen.
His name is Chad. He's probably the cutest guy you will ever meet though he tends to have an extremely large ego, and it can get pretty annoying at times. He's not a normal teenage boy; he enjoys to listen to rock, heavy metal basically, but he loves classic rock. His normal day attire results in his sneakers, skinny jeans (but not too tight) that slightly hang off his waist, t-shirts that cling to his perfectly sculpted abs. He has girls practically throwing themselves at him - sadly, he takes this for granted. He's the bad boy, the player, the one that all the girls want to be with, the one that all the other guys want to be, the one that no one dares to mess with cause they're just too scared, he's Chad Jacobs.
So everyone would presume that they are complete polar opposites, that they don't belong together. Well, this is about how love can be inseparable all the time but will that theory reach its end once it is tested by a tragic death or will their undying love define them? Chad has been crushing on Riley since the first grade (he has yet to figure this out though) he knows everything that there is to know about her. He has studied her absentmindedly as if his life depended on it. Chad even went far enough as to hooking up with Taylor for 3 weeks just so that he can be in the same house with Riley, but eventually he couldn't take Taylors crap anymore so, well, you know his prick ways came back and so of course he cheated, giving her a great reason to break up with him but of course she didn't so he had to man up and grow some balls and he then broke-up with her, he then left a broken-hearted Taylor to Riley for her to pick up all the sharp broken shards, as she swept up the remainder of her step sisters broken heart and put the pieces back together Chad was back to his to his typical heartbreaking. The Unknown of the horrid impression that was unintentionally left on Riley. He would watch her study, eat and he's even seen her with her boyfriend many, many times and although he was extremely jealous, he couldn't help but feel happy for her because at least someone was giving her the love and attention that she deserved even if it wasn't him.
