Reckless

The crowed went silent as Mikasa announced a new song she was gonna sing.

"I want to say thank you all so much for supporting us." The crowd roared, making her smile but it didn't remain very long. "And... I," Mikasa looked up at her brother who was on the top side of the stage, away from the staff and all the eyes of the people.

It was the first ever song of them that he wasn't a part of, or more exactly, doesn't want to be a part of. She hated seeing her brother this way.

If only she was there that night.

His brother encouragingly nodded as she looked at the crowed again. "I made a song that I want all of you to hear."

The crowed cheered again as Mikasa nodded to Annie, Jean, Connie, Sasha and Armin to get ready.

A melody of a music box started playing, such a sweet melody.

"Hey," The people cheered again as she continued. "this is a story I hate, and telling it might make me break, but I'll tell it anyway."

Her voice was angelic as Eren expected, making her the perfect one to sing the song. The crowed was silent, not a sound was heard. Armin played the piano gently, matching the angelic tone in the air.

"This chapter's about~ how you said there was nobody else~ then you got up and went to her house~
You guys always left me out~"

Annie joined in as both girls gave each other a sad smile, knowing what the lyrics was about.

"I still have the letter you wrote when you told me that I was the only girl you'd ever want in your LIFE~"

Then it was a solo again.

"I guess my friends were right~"

Then Connie, Jean and Sasha joined in as Armin continued the gentle melody.

"Each day goes by~ and each night I cried~ somebody saw you with her last night~
You gave me your word~ 'don't worry 'bout her'~
You might love her now~ but you loved me first~
You said you'd never HURT me~ but here we are~
Oh, you swore on every star~ how could you be~ so reckles~ with my heart~?"

It was an amazing song that was so full of emotion, Mikasa had to admit, but she hated it. Full of heartache, tears... and regret. Full of him.

Just like what he did to her brother.

"You check in and out~ of my heart like a hotel~ and she must be perfect – oh well.
I hope you both go to hell."

That was the only line she liked about the song.

Eren sat there, back towards the stage. Memories kept flooding back to him like a broken record. The sweet and fun days where they just had fun messing each other around. And those precious moments between them. It was a bliss.

Then the sad days came, full of heartache and regret. Now, he sat up there alone reliving the memories.

Just memories, they were.

Mikasa's and Annie's beautiful voice echoed through the place as they continue singing.

"I still have the letter you wrote when you told me that I was the only girl you'd ever want in your LIFE~"

Then it was only Mikasa.

"I guess my friends were right~"

Yeah, Mikasa was right. She was right about that bastard. Eren should have listened to her, but how could he? He was so in love to see it.

The betrayal.

You might love her now~ but you loved me first.
Said you'd never HURT me, but here we are.
Oh, you swore on every star~ how could you be~ so reckless~ with my heart~?"

A tear fell, followed by another from the broken brunette's face as he sang along quietly to the song that intensified with Mikasa and Annie singing. Throat tightening so much he had to stop and cover his mouth to stop himself from sobbing.

"How could you be~ so reckless~?
How could you be SO reckless!
How could you be~ so reckless~ with someone's heart?"

He was Eren's star, he looked up to him. All this singing was originally meant for him! To get to his level. To meet him. To get close to him. Yet, everything that happened, everything that was a bliss... was an act by him.

The brunette sat there, singing along quietly, his eyes was just staring at the beautiful night sky as his heart broke into a million pieces.

"Hey, this is a sorry I hate, but I told it to cope with the pain.
I'm so sorry if you can relate..."

Mikasa lowered the mic from her lips as streaks of tears came down from her face, quickly wiping them off. She would always have tears in her eyes whenever she finished singing it in rehearsals.

She gave it her all, singing it like she was the one that wrote it. Was the one that experienced it. For her brother, she thought.

If only it wasn't for the bastard, Mikasa would appreciate the beautiful song his brother created.

Yet it was.

The crowed cheered, some screamed, as others were just touched by the song and cried.

The band gave their appreciation to the people as the lights turned off, making their exit off the huge stage.
