"Change is the only thing constant."
This six worded sentence can be interpreted in so many different ways and everyday I seem to interpret it in a new way. The constant presence of dissimilitude in all my interpretations is perhaps a testament of its own to this very statement.
It's funny how our view of unchanging things also changes as we age. As though with each of our experiences we get rewarded with a set of coloured lenses that helps us see the world in a different light.
And maybe, at some enlightening moment in our lives we start truly appreciating all the tints and pigments of our colourful world.
Embracing beauty is not tough, the ugly- it is not too hard to care for, it is the harmony of these two that is difficult to understand and even more difficult to take cognizance of and approach sans judgement.
Enter- People; humans; homosapiens- the very harmony of the pretty and ugly, the very experience that walks up to us, the very beings that hand us their (figurative) jaded telescopes carrying a million unique memories just to help us grow and look at the same old world with a dissimilar perspective.
Maybe that's what it all boils down to. Maybe our voyages of life, however long or short it may be, is meant to collect many such unique telescopes.
These experiences more often than not leave us for mystifying reasons, but the learnings..that they leave behind, as invaluable gifts, only meant for us. And we must cherish the memory of such experiences and never let the lessons learnt fade from memory.
For they may come in the form of a friend, a companion, a relative, a lover or even a stranger, let's always take time to take in souvenirs of goodness.
I don't care about how realistic I'm being. I want to see the world through rose tinted glasses. Also through tints of green, blue and every other shade out there.
I'm ready to harbour false beliefs to be proven wrong. I'm ready to learn truths, despite my fears and inhibitions. In this colourful and complex universe, I'm ready to grow and earn my pair of tinted glasses.
