(Dipper pov)
I wake up realizing I fell asleep in Bill's arms again, his chest slowly rising and falling with each of his calm breathes. I reach around him getting my glasses from the nightstand and pull them on. I gently get out of Bill's arms without waking him up and pick up my phone, realizing my dad called me a dozen times last night. I step into the hall and call him. "Mason where the heck are you? I was worried when I couldn't find you last night."
"I know I know, dad, I'm sorry. Bill asked me to come over last night to help him with an assignment and we both ended up falling asleep in the middle of it."
"I don't mind if you stay the night with him, just please let me know ahead of time next time so I don't worry about it."
"I will dad. I'll see you later." I hang up as I lean against the wall thinking about last night.
"Everything okay?"
I look over seeing Bill came out of his room as well.
"Yeah, my dad was just worried about me but don't worry. Everything is fine. I should go home to get my stuff for school though."
"Want me to drive you?"
"No, I can walk."
"Let me give you some clothes to wear at least." He gently pulls me back into his bedroom and hands me some clothes. He leaves the room as I get changed. Once dressed I pull on my shoes and leave, making the walk to my new apartment. I'm still not used to living here instead of mom's house.
I go inside and grab my backpack then leave starting the walk to school.
I stop outside a small coffee shop, seeing a poster says they have people sign up to play a little something in the mornings and afternoons. I step inside and walk up to a woman with a clipboard who I guess is in charge of it. "Excuse me, about the poster outside-"
"You want to sign up?"
"Yes, but I don't have a guitar with me right now."
"We have musical instruments you can borrow. I need a name, it can be a nickname too."
"Oh...uh....um....Pinetree."
She writes something on her clipboard. "There is a guitar by the stool. Start whenever you're ready."
I sit on the stool and pick up the guitar, tuning it a bit. I notice not many people were really paying attention. "Um....for anyone who cares to listen just know that this song isn't mine, just heard it on a show once." Taking a deep breath I start the song.
"First things first
We start the scene in reverse
All of the lines rehearsed
Disappeared from my mind
When things got loud
One of us running out
I should've turned around
But I had too much prideNo time for goodbyes
Didn't get to apologize
Pieces of a clock that lies brokenIf I could take us back, if I could just do that
And write in every empty space the words "I love you" in replace
Then maybe time would not erase me
If you could only know I'd never let you go
And the words I most regret are the ones I never meant to leave
Unsaid EmilySilent days, mysteries and mistakes
Who'd be the first to break?
Guess we're alike that wayHe said, she said
Conversations in my head
And that's just where they're gonna stay foreverIf I could take us back, if I could just do that
And write in every empty space the words "I love you" in replace
Then maybe time would not erase me
If you could only know I'd never let you go
And the words I most regret are the ones I never meant to leave
Unsaid EmilyIf I could take us back, if I could just do that
And write in every empty space the words "I love you" in replace
Then maybe time would not erase me
If you could only know I'd never let you go
And the words I most regret are the ones I never meant to leave
Unsaid Emily" As I finish the song I hear one or two people clap, which makes me smile silently.I set the guitar down and head out, hurrying to school so I won't be late.
I push open the school doors stepping into the busy hallways. "Hey, Pinetree." I look up seeing Bill waving me over, him and Kill standing by some lockers. Smiling a bit happy to see them I make my way over to them.
