(HI it's me, Amari again, I've made this fanfic for my lovely friend Coke and thanks to my ex girlfriend Aire for giving me a plot for this because making a Venti fanfic was harder than I thought! Sorry that writing this took forever school was a big setback, then writer's block. This is only my second fanfic so constructive criticism is always welcome just be respectful! Enjoy!)
traveler = reader, Just to clarify.

"Sucrose, are you sure this is going to work?" You ask with a worried tone. "Yes, of course, it will work, my love." Albedo interrupted while walking in carelessly. Sucrose only looked at him with concern, she had not an ounce of confidence that this syrup would succeed in altering the human mind, only for it to make the consumer more dominant.
"M-mr. Albedo, I'm not so sure if it's accessible right now." she stuttered. Without a thought in your mind, you grab Sucrose's hand to reassure her that you would figure this out together. She nods, "I've got it!" Exclaims the alchemist. you both quickly turn your heads to face him.
"Go to Mondstadt and the first person who catches your eye. They shall be the tester." You looked a bit shocked at the suggestion but Sucrose nodded. She held your hand tightly and starts to pull you away from the stoic alchemist's camp. "Sucrose! Sucrose! I have legs!" you blurt out. "Sorry Traveler, I-I'm just worried..." she said shakily. She lets go of your hand and leads you out of Dragonspine.
As you approach the guarded gates of Mondstadt, you both spot Venti. "What about him, Traveler?" Without saying a word, you hurriedly walk over to the sober bard. "Well if it isn't the Traveler! To what do I owe for this honor?" His soft words make your body feel weak, but you can't let this distract you. "Hello Venti, I have a small favor to ask," you say while covering your lower half.
He raised an eyebrow in curiosity, "Oh? And what might that be?" he says lively. You slightly flinch at his words, it only took you a moment to start regretting this whole experiment. You started to question yourself in this situation, what if it goes wrong? What if there are side effects? Could this hurt Venti?
Hundreds of questions fled your mind but a soft voice broke your train of thought. "Traveler? Are you alright?" Sucrose whispered. You nod gently, as you hand the bard a small heart-shaped cake, decorated neatly with teal icing and carefully placed silver pearls. He looks down nervously at the small cake and mumbles to himself...
"Are these pearls...edible?" Your heart fills with remorse, "I will eat it." you say unexpectedly, shocking yourself and sucrose. "No Traveler, you prepared this beautiful treat for me. I'll gladly eat it."
The knot in your throat feels almost palpable, you're unable to form words. The memories of Albedo explaining how the chemical can be extremely dangerous, flood your mind. If it isn't used correctly, it may even lead to the consumer's death.
Venti...Dead? You could only watch as Venti carefully cuts the cake, trying to be as gentle as he could. "Don't eat it," you spoke with a bothered tone. "What?" Sucrose said with worry in her voice. "I said don't eat it." Venti smiled at you softly before a spoon full of the cake entered his mouth.
"NO!" you shriek. Quickly grabbing his hand, you harshly pull him into the tavern. "Diluc? Diluc, please!" you cry out, but no one answers. Not knowing what to do, you pull Venti into the bathroom, turning on the marble-topped faucet and putting soap onto a grey cloth.
"Traveler, what's bothering you?" he says calmly. Ignoring his question, you shove the cloth into his mouth rubbing every corner, every edge, making sure to leave no spots uncleaned. He gagged multiple times but that didn't stop you.
