Wakas

As the waves smashed into the water, the wind blew all of the trees along the beach. The sun began to sparkle in my eyes, signaling that it was about to set.

A smile crept across my lips as I stared up at the sky above. In the skies, I was constantly astonished. I'm always stunned by how lovely it is. Every single day and every single night.

As the darkness covered the entire earth, the sun began to set from above. I was on the beach, roaming around aimlessly until I came across a young woman screaming for my help.

"Hi… c-can you… h-help me?" That girl is just a kid like me.

My brows furrowed because of her. Blood is dripping all over her clothes. She also has a lot of blood in her hands. I was just calming here in the sea, when a kid suddenly interrupted me.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"They killed… m-my parents…"

My jaw dropped upon hearing her. I don't know what to say. I immediately wander my eyes at the whole place, trying to find my little sister but she wasn't here. She told me that… she's just going to watch something, then she didn't come back.

"It's not a joke time, kiddo." I immediately shook my head.

I still don't know where Alyaena is. She invited me here so we can both chill. This place is a chilling place, so… why would this kid come to me and say that her parents were killed?

"I need your help, please! They killed my parents in front of me! Help me get out of this place!" the girl pleaded.

I don't know if I'm going to believe her. I have a lot of trust issues when it comes to this. Who knows, she might be fooling me. Many people can easily be fooled, and I'm not one of them.

But what if… this kid is telling the truth? What if she might be in danger? For sure, my conscience will eat me.

But where's my sister? Why is she not coming back?

I immediately stood up to follow that little girl.

"Where are they?" I asked.

"I don't know where they are, but… if I come back there… they might kill me too!"

As I looked at this kid, I noticed something in her eyes. I pity her a little bit. Her eyes scream so much innocence, and there's no doubt that this kid might be telling me the truth.

I mean… Why would she lie about these things?

"I'm going to show you where they are, but we're going to take a peek!" the girl said.

I nodded. She suddenly held my hand until we're now at the place she is talking about. It's only a few meters away from where I was earlier. My brows immediately furrowed.

As I took a peek in that place, my jaw dropped.

A blood, a lot of blood. A dead man and woman. This must be what this kid is talking about, huh? This is really true.

I tried to massage my eyes, thinking that I'm only dreaming, but no! This is really real!

And my world suddenly stopped when I saw a woman who's on that place as she watched these two people be killed.

Alyaena Vallejos.

She's my sister, my lovely sister. My parents don't treat me right, the same way they treat my sister. I think… that's because I'm an unwanted child. They didn't expect that their oldest child would be a boy. They expected and they wanted it to be a girl.
