Danni's POV
It's been 3 months since mum has passed and things are slowly beginning to fall apart. My older sister Natalie has taken on more ours at the local petrol station to support us, and I have quit college in order to care for our younger sisters.
Now I know you may be thinking how is this even legal, why aren't our younger sisters in care. Well you see our mum remarried about 8 years ago to a douche named Miles. Now their relationship was never the most stable or affectionate, yet they made things work. Our mum got ill 6 years ago with cervical cancer whilst pregnant with our little sister Jelly (real name Angelica). Now it's seemed that Mum was going to be okay, after an emergency Caesarean and hysterectomy, she was cancer free, all be it some complications that left my mum physically disabled. She was no longer going to die.
However, six months ago a routine check up revealed some abnormalities, after several checks, scans and being prodded with countless needles it revealed that my mum's cancer was back, although this time it had spread to her lymphnodes. The prognosis was terminal, the doctors could not tell us when but our mum was going to die. Those last three months we had with our mum consisted of Miles working 24/7 claiming that just because Mum wasn't feeling well didnt mean he had to stop working.
One night in an argument with my sister he spat "yes your mum is dying get over it, she's going to be dead and we have to keep on living, I have to have a life too." It was at this point that me and my older sister realised that when Mum passed away we had to leave.
