"I'VE BEEN FALLING FOR THIRTY MINUTES!" yelled the man popping out of nothingness as he lied on his stomach on the floor.
It was the same monotonous day as it has always been for Aurora. It was a simple, usual Saturday. After having tuitions, Aurora sat on the sofa in front of the television with a bag of potato chips. This was her favourite time of the day. Her mother was down the stairs, extremely busy with the household works and her father was in the office while she idled away her time. After a whole week of attending school, huge boring home works, attending tuitions, this was the only day she could have to herself as on Sunday her father stayed at home which highly infuriated her as she knew she was bound to get a scolding even without a reason.
The TV channel was showing various dance programs which she extremely enjoyed. Aurora had been fond of all kinds of arts. She had many hobbies- dancing, singing, sketching, reading books, composing poems or stories, fashion designing, doodling, photography and many more and watching television was one of them too. As she sat with her eyes bulging, gaping at the TV, she suddenly felt goose bumps on her skin. And out of thin air dropped a man on her floor.
The packet of chips fell off her hand and scattered all over the floor a she sat; shocked to the heavens. She opened her mouth to scream for there was an intruder in her room but no sound came out. She could not even find the strength to move her body as she stared open-mouthed, wide-eyed, gawking at the uninvited guest.
He had the most beautiful face she had ever seen in her life; even the word 'beautiful' would seem an understatement beside him. He had a milky white face with very high cheekbones and delicate pink lips and a set of jaws that were sharp. His eyes were emerald green. He was like a piece of art, a sculpture sculpted so beautifully, so carefully that it seemed that the Almighty had poured all his soul into it. He had long black silky hair that fell over his shoulders, he wore an old-fashioned green coloured battle costume with leather boots.
He quickly got up and all of a sudden summoned two daggers each on his hands and started towards Aurora. His eyes were burning in anger, clenching his jaws, lips set into a thin line.
"YOU! YOU UGLY LITTLE WENCH! IT IS YOU WHO SUMMONED ME HERE! HOW DARE YOU!"
Aurora flinched as she backed away, her back touched the wall.
"I-i don't know what you are talking about! Who are you? I don't even know you! And how did you even get in my house?" She asked while trembling in fear.
In a matter of seconds one of the dagger was on her throat as he cornered her totally, his warm breath on her. His face was a few inches away as he stared down at her with his piercing gaze. Great! I'm gonna die now, she thought to herself.
"You think I am a fool, Midgardian?"
"Wh-what? I-I swear it isn't me! I don't even know who you are!"
He took a moment to consider his situation and weigh her statements as he looked straight into her eyes. He backed off quickly as he muttered under his breath.
"That nasty little brother if mine! Should've stayed off Asgard. Always on my way!"
"Who the hell...?" suddenly realization dawned on Aurora.
"You...you are Loki? The God of Mischief? In my house? How? Why?"
The angry expression suddenly melted into a flirty lopsided smile as he replied to her question.
"Nice to have a Midgardian recognize me though there are more severe terms associated with me," he said as he sat down on the sofa without even a permission.
