BREANNE P.O.V

I was disappearing. Everything was pitch black and even then my vision was spotted. Flecks of white mixed with the black. I was dying.
A pair of arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me up. I was no longer drowning. But could I make it?

Loud sobs erupted through the room and a beeping sound hummed quietly under it.
Something sharp went into my left arm which I assumed was a needle. Then it hit me. I was in the hospital.

AARON P.O.V

I pulled open the doors of the hospital and flew in, out of breath. I spotted Valery in the waiting room with no trace of emotion on her face. I ran up to her.
"Where's Breanne?" I shouted.
Valery saw me and began to cry.
"Oh Aaron. She's in a coma!" she cried wrapping her arms around my neck.
I tensed up at the sound of the word coma.
"What?" I gasped. "What happened?"
Valery wiped her tears and began to talk.
"I went over to her house because I was having a problem and I needed my best friend there for me. So I asked her if she could come with me so we could talk. She followed with no questions asked and I led her to the lake by my house. I began to tell her about what was going on but then she began gasping for air and she was sweaty. She ripped off her coat and I was asking her what was wrong but she didn't answer. Before I could stop her, she jumped into the river, the ice broke and she fell right in. A man that was passing by, he jumped in and saved her. He's doing okay at the moment." she finished.
My vision was blinded by tears half way through her explanation.
"Can I see her?" I choked out and Valery nodded. I followed her through the hospital to the room Breanne lay.
She looked peaceful. Her hair was drenched still and she was in a hospital gown. Her pale skin was dull and her lips were slightly blue.
I walked up behind her and took her hand in mine. The tears in my eyes rolled down my cheeks and on to her arm. I pulled her hand up to my lips and kissed it.
