I did put triggers in the story description but I'll put them at the start of chapters too just to let people know

Tw: blood, kidnapping, knives, murder

Y/N = your name      Y/F/N = your friend's name

You weren't exactly afraid of the dark. Or at least, most of the time you weren't. You hated that you couldn't see what was in front of you, the great unknown. Anything could be in the room there with you, and you wouldn't know until it was too late. But, then again, on those nights where you felt alone the most, it was almost comforting. A friend. Like a big fluffy blanket around you, keeping you warm and safe. You weren't sure what to think right now, weren't sure of where you even were, but you were sure that this was definitely not normal. Usually, when in the dark, you could hear your voice bouncing off the walls back towards you. Usually, you could feel the ground beneath your feet, but here you couldn't.

Your voice sounded muffled in the endless void surrounding you, as if you were underwater, and panic began to set in. Your breathing quickened and tears brimmed your eyes. You began to back down, stepping backwards, before collapsing into a ball. It was then that you noticed the ringing in your ears. It was so loud. You ran your shaking fingers through your hair, grabbing and pulling at it, afraid that your head might explode at any minute. Then, you sensed a presence besides you. You froze. Suddenly, a hand came to rest upon your upper back. It was abnormally cold, far colder than any living thing should be, yet...so gentle. Hesitantly you removed your hands from your tangled hair and slowly lifted your head up to see a man knelt beside you. Something was off about him though; he wasn't how a person...should be. His skin was toned grey, his hands were unnaturally cold, like snow, and most oddly of all there appeared to be a kind of aura that danced around him, blue and red. It reminded you of those old-fashioned cinema glasses they used to wear for 3d imagery. Yet, he still looked human, he had a well-defined face and a patchy beard, and what looked like black eyeshadow under his eyes, which were a deep onyx colour. His jet-black hair fell messily onto his face, and he wore a classy grey suit, red tie, and newly polished dressing shoes, which, despite there being no light source around, seemed to shine a little.

Your eyes met his. It would be wrong to say that he had kind eyes, that he looked like a decent person, because he didn't. Sure, he seemed a little friendly, but it also seemed like a huge act, like his intentions were something much more sinister, much more twisted. 'You're finally awake', he spoke, his voice low and distorted, echoing though the empty space around you before he turned his head away. 'Don't worry, it's perfectly normal for you to feel...panicked. Mortals are not familiar with this plane, so it may feel startling.' He rose to his feet, adjusting his suit, which didn't seem to be quite the right fit, before looking to you expectantly. You removed your still shaking hands from your lap and got to your feet too. 'I-I'm sorry, who are you?' He chuckled, like you'd just cracked some hilarious joke. 'Come with me.' You obeyed. He didn't seem to be the kind of person you'd want to argue against. You didn't want to know how he'd react if you did otherwise. Overall you weren't getting very good vibes about this guy, and you decided then and there that unless you really needed to do otherwise you would continue to do what he told you. You didn't follow too closely behind him, not wanting to be too near him, though you made sure not to be too far either – just in case. 'I, y/n, am a demon. I, personally anyway, am the fusion of two souls. I feast upon human blood to survive, though mostly for the thrill of the hunt.' A twisted smirk formed upon his face, and you internally cringed. You were more than glad to have followed your instincts. 'Wait wait wait, hold on, one: how the hell do you know my name, two: where am I, how did I get here, three: you what now?' He laughed again, 'My, my, eager aren't we? Well, to answer your first question – I know a lot of things about you. About many things, actually. Us demons...we have our ways. As for your other inquiry, you are currently in the demon realm. It's where I and...others dwell. As of yet this place is unknown to your kind.' He cringed at those last two words. Others? Well, isn't that just brilliant. You were already dead, you thought to yourself. You remained silent, still pacing through the dark abyss, before speaking up. '...Why don't I remember getting here? Why am I here?' He side glanced at you, not giving you an answer, only creating more uneasiness. Did you even want to know at this point? You may as well have been walking to your death and you wouldn't know. A trap, and you were falling right into it. To be fair though, did you really have another choice?
