Crystine's POV

I steadied my nerves as I stood hidden in the darkness of the stage wings. The crowd clapped politely when my name was mentioned, that was my cue.

Dominating the stage was a shiny grand piano, expensive and well crafted. I would be playing that tonight, the works of Tchaikovsky and Chopin would be brought to life on that piano.

I smoothed down my modest, knee length skirt and plastered a small smile on my face. The crowd's applause increased as I walked across the stage. They silenced once I took my seat, resting my hands lightly on the black and white keys.

The first few notes that rang out through the concert hall were timid, as they should be. The music was a story and like any good story, it eased you into it.

The song picked up in speed and my fingers were flying across all 52(? I FORGOT HOW MANY KEYS THERE ARE ON A PIANOOOO)
