"Oh, good morning miss" Truffle hunter smiled as he walked into the room.

Startled, I lifted my head off the comforting pillow and squinted my eyes as the bright light shine through the window.

"I'm sorry for intruding dear, you see I thought you were already awake!" The courteous badger nodded.

"It's okay Truffle Hunter" I smiled "Actually, what time is it?"

"Why it's 11 o'clock, y/n , the whole palace has been up for hours by now" he laughed.

Oh dear

That's embarrassing .

"Don't worry dear" Truffle Hunter laughed, "it's no problem, even I have days where I do not wake and my wife startles me up by throwing a jar of water over my head! I'm afraid you have missed breakfast but if you get yourself dressed and find the others then lunch will be ready in no time!"

I grinned at the story of his wife's ways.
"Thank you Truf, and where might I find the others?" I enquired slowly getting up out of bed.

"I believe they're training with king Edmund, just walk out the castle gates and you should spot them by a stable-looking building, Ive left some suitable clothes Queen Lucy suggested on your chair " he smiled as he hobbled away shutting the door behind him.

Carrying on..

"Good morning, Susan" I smiled jogging up to her.
The boys were a few feet away showing Mike how to use a sword. I would not trust that kid with a pair of scissors, never mind a sword.

"Good afternoon, Y/n" the queen rolled her eyes.

"Right, sorry about that-"

"Oh, I'm only joking silly" she laughed nudging my shoulder, "although Lucy was looking forward to trying those pancakes that you mentioned before."

"I completely forgot I was going to make pancakes for Lucy! Perhaps I could go make some now for lunch..."

"Y/n! N/n ! Look at this!" My ideas were cut off as Mike shouted across to me.

He nodded towards Peter as he stepped forward and clashed his sword against Peters. Peter (pretended) to loose strength and, in mikes eyes, Peter was defeated as he fell to the floor. A tap on mikes shoulder caused him to jump around and see Ed standing there with his sword gesturing Mike to fight. Mike grinned "you'll never defeat me!"

The blades of their sword hit together. Mike swung his arm out like a reckless chicken and attempted to get to Edmund. Edmund grabbed his shoulder and let out a fake cry dropping to the floor, but not before winking in our direction.

"Yayy! Did you see that N/n?! I did it! I defe-"
Mike ran towards me at full speed, that was I until he tripped up.

Blood dripped from his knee as he cried on the floor. A slightly deep cut was made in his arm that was caused from running with a sword.

"Y/n - it hurts.." he sniffled
"Hey..it's okay, you're alright" I smiled holding onto his head.

"I'll take you back to castle and fix you up, okay?"

"I'll carry him." Edmund cut in walking across to where Mike was and picking him up.

"Make sure you check in with truffle hunter" Susan called and Peter nodded as Edmund carried Mike. I followed close behind as Mike wouldn't let go of my hand.

Edmund placed Mike down on a medical bed As truf swayed in.
"Deary me, what's happened here then?"

Nothing but quiet sobs left mikes mouth as he held his arm.

"He was running and tripped with a sword" I sighed.

"YOU LET A SON OF ADAM AS SMALL AS THIS ONE HOLD A SWORD" Truf exclaimed!

"It wasn't an actual sword!" Edmund defend, "Peter and I welded a sword a lot smaller and less sharp for him for training"

"What makes you think a 5 year old needs to train to sword fight?" I looked at him bewildered.

"Well I-"

"Stop arguing you two! It is crucial that we get young Mike to stop bleeding" truffle hunter spoke with authority as he steeped towards Mike with a cloth.

Mike pulled his arms away and hid his face behind Edmund.

"Come child, just let me help you" Truf spoke gently.

"No" Mike turned away even more.

"Sorry Truf, I think it's best if I help him. He's still not used to the idea of talking animals."

"Oh that's quite alright dear I suppose you know what you're doing. Besides you have been in here before, I suppose clumsiness runs in the family?" He smiled as he handed me the cloth and left the room.
