Chapter 9 - Milano

When they finally arrive at the town of Milano it's a little bit afternoon. He'd managed to save time. Just as he said he'd do the merchant notified the town guards of what had happened.

When all their affairs where in order they enter the city. Milano. A small town of 3,000 people was the closest major town to his village. He'd been here before so it was exactly a new experience for him. The town was definitely Roman and Italian styled. It was hard to place an exact period in which to describe maybe 17th century?

"So where are you staying kid?" Arsinio asked once they'd seen the merchant off after paying them all for their protection.

"I haven't decided yet. There are things I need to do first."

"Normally I would ask what's a kid doing traveling alone but it seems you can handle yourself. That being the case this is where we'll be staying for the night. It's also coincidentally pet friendly as well" He says handing him a piece of paper.

Tesla thanks him and gets on his way. The first thing he needed was information. He specifically needed two kinds of maps: A map of the kingdom and world map. After all he'd never been further than this town.

A kingdom map would provide directions to towns and cities and some villages. A world map would provide directions to neighboring kingdoms.

He heads to a shop that specializes in maps. He needed a detailed map that couldn't be found in a book.

One he had acquired his desired items he heads for his next objective for now: A Clothes and Armor shop.

He needed better fitting clothes and some form of armor.

"Welcome in! What can I do you for you young one?" The owner asks.

"Hello I'm looking for some new clothes and light armor." Tesla informs him.

The owner takes a good look at him.

"Hmmn well let's see what I have. Any specifications for the armor?" He asks.

"Yes high mobility with light protection" Tesla answered.

"I have just the thing though I don't know if it'll fit you. Normally adventurers come to this shop so all my items are bigger as far size goes. Ah here it is."

He pulls out a leather vest with metal plates on the chest and back.

"This is what I have" the owner says.

Tesla tries it on. It was light as expected and not difficult to move around in. The only problem was it didn't fit.

The owner sighed. "As I thought it's to big but I can do a custom job for you if you wish."

"In that case I would like to add some minor additions. I would like you to make it with room to spare. I do plan to keep this armor for awhile. So having adjustable armor would be nice."

"I can do that. You said you came in for some clothes as well."

Yes pretty much the same something easy to move around in preferably long sleeved as far a shirt goes and pants with pockets. I would also like a pair of knee pads as well and boots."

"I see that's quite the order. It'll take some time to make all that. The price will be little higher as well since it's a custom job and all."

"No problem"

"What color would you like your clothes in?"

"Black for the shirt and tan for the pants. The leather armor is fine as is. And one other thing."
